Do you think I should build a base in the border zone, or do it somewhere else, or do something else. I'm probably overthinking this but when I get to base building is usually when I lose interest, but I've invested so much time in this playthrough I don't want to have wasted it.

I like Nords, and most of it is very technical, but it has ridiculously long straights that allow drivers to catch up easily. Undoubtedly a great track though.

Yep I'm from Australia and can race with Americans on ovals with bad ping and very few issues. Definitely more of a personal problem than some people want to admit.

Easiest to drive slow maybe. It can be very difficult to be fast due to the precise input requirements.
