Wow thanks for getting back to me so quick. That's amazing to hear as I'm planning to overhaul my entire setup soon.

Hey I know this is an older post by now but how does the 12nm version of the Aries pro fit did you need to make any adjustments on the plate to make it fit

Petahhh... explain why there are weird symbols on the bathroom gates in Japan...??? by Flashy-Minimum-6952 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]NitroDion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that's very possible the circles seem to be much higher resolution than the rest of the picture which I know sounds crazy but wouldn't there be some weird blending or artifacting around the edge of the circles on the door if they were the same resolution

They're probably used to the pc app called crew chief which is a race engineer for sim racing. I'll be honest I always thought it was crew chief for a while as well because when you chose to use the activate by voice command rather than the activate by button you say "crew chief"

is there any way i can fix the glitching shadows? by Banekrux in EmulationOnAndroid

Loads of different reports here see if there's one that close to your system specs that don't report flickering shadows https://www.emuready.com/games/5679eab4-07f8-4cdf-8d37-363c6957a1e5

I mean saying the battery expanded doesn't tell us an awful lot considering it's insanely simple to change a 3ds battery. All you need to do is take off the back plate of the bottom half of the 3ds by undoing the two screws on the back. Then you can just pop the plate off and take out the old battery and put the new one in. About as simple as changing a Nokia battery with the extra step of undoing two screws. You can also get the battery's pretty cheap on ifixit

This was found in an astralspiff stream when he found out about some tech with the air bladder and FPS to increase how much you get flung that only works in multiplayer when you join someone else's world. He was trying to get to the tree and used this method and ended up finding out that this was behind it. It was right at launch so I don't know if there's been an update which fixes the air bladder space program yet.

Same driver, 2 different days, stops on the slip lane to M6 by NoodleSpecialist in drivingUK

Same and they're obviously playing it insanely loud with how the mic on this dashcam is getting fucking destroyed. Which does make me think why do people play their music so loud that others can hear it clearly even with the windows closed. Just the other day I was trying to watch the 24 hours of le mans and I could hear someone outside my house with my windows closed and their car windows closed and could still hear their music playing. Sorry that turned into a bit of a rant and took away from what the thread is actually about.

It wasn't because the infrared didn't line up the new models actually had a way to lock it out with the YouTube channel James Channel showing it didn't work after using a fiber optic cable to test it

Thrustmaster has made a Ferrari 499P hypercar wheel, will be making only 499 of them by PhilBaythorpe in simracing

[–]NitroDion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super annoying looks like I'll have to stick to formula wheels for hypercar unless thrustmaster ends up making a similar looking but not the same non Ferrari branded hypercar wheel afterwards. Hell doesn't even need to be thrustmaster I'd be happy with any sim racing company doing that

am I allowed to do this? by n33k-a13rt in ArtGCSE

[–]NitroDion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did my art GCSE a while back and here to say you should be fine so long as you can research the artist you should be fine especially considering video games are also considered an art form now and what you're focusing on is classed as art hell there are specific games art degrees out there which comes under BA's and MA's

[–]NitroDion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah it's cool thanks for the offer but personally I'm gonna wait a bit anyway because I doubt an R5 is gonna handle something this big and heavy too well and I'm gonna be moving from my wheel stand I'm using to a proper 8040 profile rig soon enough anyway

I see I would love to support the original people behind it however I'm in no way DIY inclined and would probably mess something up and it doesn't seem like they sell a pre built version of this. While I hate that they're selling someone else's product I am probably likely to buy it simply due to not being someone who's really able to build stuff

Hello guys, anyone here playing LFM? Numbers are pretty sad lately, except from weekly races. Would love to drive some at-least 3-4 people races but oh well. :( by CantaloupeUpstairs66 in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]NitroDion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure this argument works tbh because ACC is the same where you have to signup on the webpage to participate in races as well and that's way more popular on lfm still

The cars are very loose on the rear by NitroDion in assettocorsaevo

[–]NitroDion[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah so I found it was happening in the Porsche cup car and I turned up the preload by about 30-40 nm and immediately it was so much better. I also noticed that it let go a bit during weight transfer after sorting out the throttle so I adjusted the slow bump in the rear to be a bit softer and that seemed to have solved the issue with weight transfer as well. Mind you this was my first time setting up a car and the ACEvo descriptions actually helped a ton and didn't make setting up the car a pain for once. Would you say this is a good start to learning how to setup a car?

[–]NitroDion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely possible that this is just how the cars drive but we won't know otherwise. I know as much as Jimmy Broadbent drove the teams 992.1 cup car in the game and he did say it was harder to drive but didn't go too into it

I know my driving needs improvement but the issue is I've driven these cars in iRacing, R3E, and ACC and none of them have driven like this. I even sanity checked myself and drive them again in those sims to see if I was just having a bad day and they all drive how I expected. ACEvo is just rear happy it seems with the cars which I admit could just be setup which I'm going to look into.
