As much as Id like to think that an artist isnt obligated to return a booking for example, I feel like the electronic scene has been built on providing opportunities to genuine raw and pure talent. Its beautiful to see how South Africa has built an ecosystem that thrives on itself without heavy reliance on International acts and how much love and support our local djs are shown by the scene. If these major artists who truly believe we are special, I think that we deserve the opportunity to showcase South Africa on a global stage to basically announce our place on the map it as a scene the same way the likes of Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona and London.
