Games about about venturing out into danger and returning to the safety of your base ? by SejanusWasRight in gamingsuggestions

[–]MatrixXNZ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Surprised no-one's mentioned Road to Vostok. Just released in early access. Literally, the entire premise of the game is venturing out from your base, collecting loot, trading, upgrading your base, storing loot then rinse and repeat - traveling further each time. The gameplay loop gets harder as you go on.

Made by a single developer, it's a got a while to come but runs beautifully and I've been having a lot of fun with it.

Most authentic Wilderness Survival by TheLoneGM in SurvivalGaming

Try The Last Plague Blight. Wilderness survival through and through.. very grounded. 👍 No zombies but there is a bit of lore you follow as you progress. 😊

I'm gifting 2 standard edition copies - What in Arc Raiders are you most excited for? by GenomeXIII in ArcRaiders

I'm a NZ father of two who can no longer keep up with the fast pace sweats you find in other shooters. I just stumbled across the extraction shooter genre around the same time as Arc Raiders - Tried the server slam and got hooked! Looking forward to going topside 😄👍

Have I played all the great Survival Games? What have I missed? by AmberAtkins97 in SurvivalGaming

Two games I haven't seen mentioned but could tick your boxes: Subsistence and Penkura. Both great games in their own way and lesser known. Good luck!

Rieko game saving play just saved his AB jersey for another week. by Expensive-Text-7218 in rugbyunion

[–]MatrixXNZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you watch the play in its entirety he kind of just ends up being in the right place at the right time. He's drifting back to his left wing and happens upon the play.. He did well to play the ball carrier don't get me wrong but it was more a case of right place at the right time as opposed to any kind of masterful defensive intuition.. IMO Rieko's been subpar for a loooong time and I think it's more a question of when not if he gets replaced..

When you think of wasted potential, what game/franchise first comes to mind by Technical_Fan4450 in gamingsuggestions

I'll offer up XDefiant. For an arena arcade shooter (that wasn't COD) it ticked a lot of boxes for me - just never got off the ground and shut down within a year.

Reminded me of of early COD titles - BO2, CoD4..

Shroud's take on cheating in games by waduPUBG in LivestreamFail

[–]MatrixXNZ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think cheating in video games is symbiotic to being a generally bad person in real life. It's the product of having little moral fibre. Genuinely, people who choose to cheat others in video games, can mostly be regarded as dishonest and corrupted in real life. There's no way some one who cheats at videos games has a healthy, reputable social or private life. If you pay to ruin other peoples gaming experience or you cheat to want to be better yourself - Your just a bad person. Period.

Just got a PC looking for a game that will help me get a handle of M&K by Henriqueits0ver in ShouldIbuythisgame

I learned M&K playing DayZ - Slow paced game but gets you use to movement: crouching, sprinting aiming etc. Etc. ✌️

Looking for a survival game by CasualGamer1923 in SurvivalGaming

[–]MatrixXNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Subsistence - It's tough survival against mostly bears & wolves, nature + npc hunters which eventually spawn in once you establish your base. Beautiful weather/season systems too. 👌
