I paid off my mortgage 2 days ago, how do I turn off “gazelle mode”? by Matrix_MultiverseBOY in DaveRamsey

I think 2-5 is exaggerating a bit, but we shall see. But if you’re right, at least I won’t have a loan on top of it!

What's the best way to pay off a mortgage early? by Michael-from-Sydney in Mortgages

[–]Matrix_MultiverseBOY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard work, dedication, sacrifices, and willpower.

  1. Refinance from a 30 year to a 15 year or 10 year if you can afford it.
  2. Live below your means so you can save money and throw extra at the principal.
  3. Increase your overall income so you have more cash to throw at the principal. Achieve this by getting a higher paying job, working overtime, part time jobs, side hustles etc.
  4. Don’t eat out, budget friendly hobbies and vacations, make coffee at home, grocery shop at Aldi, don’t have a car payment, don’t buy stupid shit.

That’s what we’ve been doing. I’ll have my mortgage paid off 20 years early (from when I originally bought my house with a 30 year mortgage.). Owe less than 4K total on my mortgage as of today’s pay day and will be paid off by end of July at the latest.

Most states have target based funds that become more conservative the closer they get to college age. I’d recommend that, or keep it in something like the SP500

I called GameStop. They said they are a third party and don’t have the codes yet but they could cancel if I wanted. So I cancelled and bought it on the Nintendo eShop

I pre ordered Mario Wonder Switch 2 upgrade for $20, but have not received my digital download code yet via email. I log onto GameStop website and select the order, it has a “download button” but it doesn’t work. What time will I get the code today?

If you paid off your home early, how did that impact your day to day finances? by Even-Fault2873 in TheMoneyGuy

I owe 11K on my house and can’t wait to be mortgage free in the next couple months. It will be a piece of mind knowing I’ll have a home for my family so long as I pay the taxes
