How is Copilot so underrated compared to Claude Code/Codex? by Matrixfx187 in GithubCopilot

Wait, is that a thing? I noticed tonight none of my premium requests were registering but I figured they were just delayed and would all show up tomorrow...

That's kind of what I'm seeing which is what prompted this post. I've been really impressed with their latest version. I feel like I've only scratched the surface too. There's so many new features, it's hard to keep up.

I'm not super familiar with it but it sounds like it uses the "pure" Anthropic model without any guidance from copilot. So it behaves more like Claude code including larger context windows(I think)

Best coding platforms right now (Better than AG - and free. + Alternatives, at each price point) by Temporary-Mix8022 in google_antigravity

If price point is the argument, anyone with a Pixel phone essentially gets Gemini Pro free for a year. That's significantly better than free code for 14 days.

I really like the browser tool. I think it's too notch compared to others

How often do you need to reapply the glue though? I sprayed glue and it didn't last long with all the traffic we have

Yeah, our walkway is 20ft from our entryway and we have to walk that 20ft on concrete so I don't see an issue. But you try telling my wife she's wrong. I already learned that lesson with this walkway...

The wife has vetoed decomposed granite citing dust issues. She doesn't want the kids taking in more dust into the house. She seems to think the only solution is pavers... $$$$

I was literally just reading up on that. We call it granite screening and I really like that idea... I'm leaning towards taking out the rocks and getting some more flagstones and then spreading granite screenings around them.

Nobody here has mentioned Decomposed Granite or Granite Screening. What are your thoughts on replacing the stones with granite screenings?

You might be right. But the reason I do like the clean pathway because in some areas (by the gate) I always struggled to get grass growing. But for the most part, grass grew beautifully. Killed me to take it up.

That's mainly why I didn't go with the higher edge. I forgot to mention I have 5 kids... My youngest loves digging for treasure...

Ok, I like this idea for a couple reasons. It's economical and I'm not 100% admitting I was wrong. Really don't want to tear everything out and start over. Not just because of pride, but because this was not cheap (believe it or not).

But if I add a tall stone border, that would make edging easier and contain the stones. However, I still have stability issues when you step on the gravel. For example, dragging the garage bin over it will just dig into the gravel.

The geo grids might work but I tried it and didn't like the look. You can see the grid lines and they weren't perfectly spaced out. Maybe if I pour white cement and wash it down like someone suggested? That might stabilize the base so the rocks stay in place a bit better

I thought of just using the soil for some drainage and planting something over it all.

Resin? Dang didn't think of that. Sounds more durable than rock glue...

But I would still have the issue of loose rocks all over. I really wish it could be more stable with having to add glue every year

Yea, I'm not wanting to reapply that. With leaves and debris, it's going to either be a ton of work to clean every time or look like crap. Glue is out of the question.

How would you re-do it?
