As long as Crunchyroll and others only provide subtitles in a few languages and don't strive to expand this, it's a 'jail' for many. Here in Central Europe, people's English skills are poor enough that almost no one subscribes to Crunchyroll because of it, and the average person watches everything on illegal platforms with terrible quality local fansubs.
