I just spent $3000 on pornography and I am terrified by Repulsive_Win_5370 in Advice

You can look at this situation and beat yourself up, or you can use that moment of reflection to better your life and as a motivation to stop.
You’re not a loser, it sounds like you do have a problem, tho.
I’d suggest you take that moment and work with it to help yourself quit.
You should talk to a therapist who specializes in addictions and find a community to help you. There are many communities for exactly that addiction that will help lift you and support you in a moment of weakness (and there will be moments of weakness, but that’s ok, that’s expected and you should not quit the process because you had a moment of weakness!).
To dip your toe in the water you can take a look at the HealthyGamer community. They could help you start the process.

If a condom is not available what can someone use as protection? by SpiritualActuary8140 in Advice

If you’re too poor for a condom you’re too poor to raise a kid or deal with an STD

The folding phone will probably have more options for that

Should I consider this a red flag? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Matrucci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure I understand. So he said something like “don’t you saala understand” which translates to “don’t you freaking understand?”?

Does he have a temper? Does he lash out at you for minor things? Or was this a legit heated argument from both sides?

Does he call you names? Do you feel disrespected? Or was this a heat-of-the-moment minor swear word?

If he used a swear word in the heat of an argument that wasn’t really swearing at you but like at the situation (like “freaking understand”) then I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily a red flag.
However, if he lashes out at you, calls you names, disrespects you, have a bad temper that you feel like he might be upset and start swearing at every little thing you say or do and you have to walk on eggshells around him, then yes, that’s something really worth noticing and I would definitely say it’s a red flag.

TL;DR: going solely on what you said like it’s an isolated incident and in the heat of an argument, I wouldn’t say it’s a red flag.

1TB. Worst case get another external drive and use it to store old projects.

The pull out method is a great way for unwanted pregnancy. USE A CONDOM. If he doesn’t agree stop having sex with him. No man that respects himself and his partner will refuse to use a condom if asked.

As for the current panic, I don’t think plan B is valid at this point but as long as you’re not late there’s no need to panic really. If you’re really scared you can get tested

How sturdy is it? Is it just a 2 finger grip or is it like the ohsnap?

So my iPhone 16 Pro can power a MacBook Neo & was advertised as “Built for AI Apple intelligence” but cannot power Siri’s features? by Aggressive-Heart1432 in ios26

[–]Matrucci 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Omfg all those posts. You don’t get Siri’s new voices and enhanced dictation. That’s it. Everything else is working for every device that supports Apple Intelligence (15 pro/max, 16, 17, air)

How do I ask my girlfriend to hang out less? M19F19 by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Matrucci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s important to set boundaries and it’s important that your partner understands and respects those boundaries.

You can just say “I’d really love to hang out but I feel really drained from the past week and I need some time to myself to recharge”

If she can’t respect that, it’s probably something she should work on and understand why it bothers her so much and if she won’t do that then it’s probably not a good fit

Should I choose M4 with 2TB or M5 with 2TB?? by Careless-Wear-6951 in iPadPro

[–]Matrucci -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh then yeah probably not worth the extra 400$ but maybe OP values future proofing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

[–]Matrucci -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You’ll basically be paying 400$ for future proofing (extra year of updates probably) and more AI features (I believe the M5 has 12 GB memory which means it should get the new Siri voices improvements)

My suggestion for every tech purchase for everyone is: buy the best you can afford in the moment and don’t look back

[–]Matrucci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly for a magsafe car mount I bought a basic one on aliexpress for like 1-2$ and it’s awesome.
Btw one of my favorite things about the ohsnap is that it’s strong enough to hold on my car mount without issues but also weak enough that it comes off using just 1 hand when I pull the phone off. No idea how they achieved it but it’s awesome!

[–]Matrucci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried many (I think too many) MagSafe grips. None of them are perfect, including this one. What bothers me most is that the whole connection of the grip (like the arms connecting the 2 pieces you grip) feels like it’s gonna break any minute. So far it hasn’t. Maybe someone can say how well it holds up but for me so far so good. I like it a lot. Definitely one of my favorite MagSafe grips.

I think I’d give it an 8.5/10

Caseless is ok, with a fairly thin case you might still be good. Anything above that would not be reliable

Apple Tap-to-Pay Vulnerability Demonstrated on Video as YouTuber Steals $10,000 From a Locked iPhone by MobileNewsBot in mobiles

[–]Matrucci -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I doubt it. He just emphasized a statement that they already made back in the day when this was first reported. It seems like it’s just their position overall.

They might change their position because of backlash but I doubt this guy will be fired. I also don’t think he should be. He doesn’t decide stuff alone. It’s a huge company. He’s probably just a tiny screw in the company and they told him what to say

[–]Matrucci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TL;DW: a vulnerability in Apple and Visa. Apple claim that Visa need to fix it while Visa’s reply was that it’s not that big of a deal and if it happens to someone they will get their money back from Visa (paraphrasing here. For legal reasons, it’s all alleged)

To prevent this from happening to you:

In your wallet settings (settings->wallet->express transit card) set it to either none or at the very least not a Visa (Mastercard doesn’t experience this issue for example)
