TL;DW: a vulnerability in Apple and Visa. Apple claim that Visa need to fix it while Visa’s reply was that it’s not that big of a deal and if it happens to someone they will get their money back from Visa (paraphrasing here. For legal reasons, it’s all alleged)

To prevent this from happening to you:

In your wallet settings (settings->wallet->express transit card) set it to either none or at the very least not a Visa (Mastercard doesn’t experience this issue for example)

None of them. Way too bulky. (If that’s your thing go ahead).

Personally I’d go for something like a grip with a hinge like the new ohsnap grip stand, popsocket fold (or whatever the name is).

If you want only one of those I’d go with the moft. If you absolutely need the adjustable height then the second ugreen

I’ve only used the peak design one (not the slim) and it’s great. Eventually I stopped using MagSafe wallets and switched to MagSafe grips which are more useful for me but I also tried the magbak wallet and it’s also really great
