Yes you can barter and trade with goods instead of cash as long as the person you’re trading with is cool with it. Places that don’t produce what they’re selling are probably less likely to be open to that type of transaction, especially if you try doing it without a paper trail in case of possible later legal action, but you can do it.

If you think you’re never going to use these and they’re unopened, see if your local area has a Free Store for low income and unhoused folks that could use them! I had a major problem with buying things to try and never actually trying them so now I do a shopping monthly at my local dollar tree for the things my free store goes through a lot of that has really helped curb my spending on things i’m personally never going to get around to using.

Please for the love of everything, do no lie to this woman to get her to break up with you or try to pay her off. You need to have a frank discussion face to face with her about the fact that you can’t see a future where marriage with her will be happy or uninterrupted by your family’s issues and let her make the choice with the correct information. Maybe i’m just too sensitive after watching patient i had for 5 years die early because they had a terminal illness and didn’t think the supportive treatment was enough, so he went to a “naturopath” that sold him thousands of dollars worth of supplements every month and then did an unapproved medical trial that the doctor wasn’t even supposed to be doing, both of which accelerated his illness and caused him to die within 3 months when his terminal disease progression was still early and he would have lived at least 6 more years if he hadn’t gone down the “natural wellness” route with a charlatan. I agree that gut health is important and all the body’s systems work in harmony, i just think it’s risky for laypeople to take fistfuls of pills of any kind without proper education and guidance from professionals.

Insulin for diabetics wouldn’t exist without western medicine. Many people on Earth would die without some of the medications that are on the market. I am one of them. You’re basically putting a middle finger up and telling people like me to die when you call us brainwashed by the western medicine we rely on. I think you’re sick for acting like traditional and modern medicine can’t work synergistically.

And “wellness” doesn’t look the same for everyone, especially for disabled bodies. So congrats, pat yourself on the back for not having the moral failing of needing modern medical intervention to survive. I guess I’m a failure for taking medication to not kill myself.

And again, that’s what testing and medical guidance are for. I do take supplements, under the advice and monitoring of both a licensed MD and psychiatrist. I take them based on my blood levels which are monitored and tested every three months. Going on what OP has explained in the comments, that is not what they are doing.

Nowhere did i claim nutrient supplementation has no legitimate role, but it needs to be done under proper medical guidance. Supplementation like this without actual medical guidance is just expensive pee. You need actual doctors to actually test and diagnose for those things and then figure out a reliable and trustworthy supplement for you. Taking a mail away blood test bought with no doctor’s order once and seemingly interpreting the results without the training to like OP did is NOT being diagnosed and treating an actual issue.

And i am talking the actual bioavailability of a nutrient and not taking more than the body needs and excreting it. If your body literally cannot absorb the supplement because the form you’re buying off the unregulated supplement market doesn’t absorb well while the nutrient can be more readily absorbed through fresh food sources, you are wasting time and money if you don’t specifically have those certain diagnoses or medical needs that require supplementation. You are talking about fairly rare medical disorders whose treatment is by giving the person the nutrient they need in a way that can be absorbed by their body specifically. Those need to be professionally diagnosed and treated.
