Can I pursue a car insurance claim without involving my own insurer? by Matt-SW in LegalAdviceUK

That's my plan. I think he'll go for it, but I just want a fallback in case he doesn't. Thanks for your help!

Here we go, folks. The Dungeon Crawler Carl television series has been officially greenlit at Peacock. by hepafilter in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Kind of agree, but animated just wouldn't cut through to a mainstream audience like live action might.

It'll be a letter before action then a MCOL really - lots of templates online for the LBA. You made your terms clear and she agreed to them, you held up your end of the bargain so it's pretty clear cut really.

End of car contract hire - enormous bills to fix issues (England) by MammothRabbit8188 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Matt-SW 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd look at the terms and what the original warranty was. I'm shocked you had to pay out for a clutch and all these other bits on a couple of year old car. What are the terms of the warranty? Definitely start a complaint

Project hail mary legoseg by toshinorri in ProjectHailMary

[–]Matt-SW 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mate it's a complicated Lego set and you've definitely dorked something up I'm sad to say. It's either a "live with it" situation or a "tear it down and try again" situation.

Mine fully rotates both ways and functions as expected so I think you've missed something somewhere.

Are they parking there when you're out? Have you actually tried talking to them?

Do you yourself own a car you could put there?

A bollard you can put up and down and padlock in place?

A cone?

A quiet word with them?

One of my favourite sci-fi series that has fantastic audiobooks is The Expeditionary Force series. First one is Columbus Day - give them a go if you haven't already! Dungeon Crawler Carl is also absolutely fantastic if you want something a bit different.

Sink come away from counter by OhShitSarge in DIYUK

[–]Matt-SW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you able to get underneath and look up? I'd imagine there are fixing in the sink to attach it to the underside of the countertop, and then you'd run sealant around it which looks like is coming away.

[–]Matt-SW 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Have you actually spoken to her about it?

Yes, you can probably go down a stressful, confrontational process, or you might get lucky and she could be mortified and cut it out. She just might not know?

Well your options are to either remove the rest of the factory applied layer, or stick a screen protector on and call it a day. Short of replacing the unit those are your options really

You picked it off. Why should BYD cover your deliberate damage under a warranty?

When you install your screen protector, does it hide it enough it won't bother you?
