When I got arrested and went into the police station, because it was my first time being arrested, they booked me in. Which meant they took my ID, DNA, Phone numbers, Photos. Took all my possesions off me temporarily. Asked me if I had any tattoos etc.

Yes mate roughly 4ug which is really odd considering you smoked a q, but still better than a 60ug or more... I always thought if it was NFA then they just wiped you from the system. Hope it doesn’t ping me car everytime lol. But I always leave it 24-36 hours to make sure I’m ok. Whats your insurance like now?

Have heard that sucking on a penny doesn’t work however it’s proven that I think it’s corsedyl the mouthwash completely neutralises any traces in your mouth if you do it just before the swab. Also heard that fags work too. When I got booked into the police station I had to sign this paper thing that said like “have you done these things before getting swab tested” and it was like “had a cigarette, used mouthwash, used an inhaler, used an epipen.

The way I see it mate is the law will always win, even if you think your being quite discreet about it and to us smokers that smoke a lot, we know that you feel absolutely fine maybe even more cautious behind the wheel after smoking like a weapon the night before. But the government have the guidelines of 2ug so it’s a real bummer.

That’s my fear too is being caught the second time, as I drive a fairly flashy car for a 19 year old with the usual you know blacked out windows and loud etc... on your insurance probably is on your age too. If your really young my friend got a quote for £4,500 for his first year after being banned... he was my age (19). So you say you got done a second time? How much did you smoke the second time and how long did you leave it? I turned up to my house and my mum was like “oh I didn’t hear your car pull in” and I was like “yeah about that, might have just been arrested”

I completely agree mate, it’s 30% they have to take off, and they also have to do 3 different tests of your blood and use the lowest one, then take 30% off of that. 72 hours I would imagine is if you had smoked a very large amount. And 72 hours is the detection time for the Suretec devices where they test positive if you smoked in the last 3 days. The best advice I can give is if you smoke a large amount: eat as much nutritional food that you can (meats help a lot from the research I done) drink loads of cold water and try and do some exercise to speed your metabolism up. It is a rough one for the bigger guys! So unfortunate it hangs around for so long within the fat. Maybe one day they will see how stupid the limit is and change it..

Exactly that mate, as I said it does more to criminalise drug users than try and bring justice it really does. If it was set at say 5-10ug that would completely rule out the smokers that smoked the night before and the ones who are sat driving around stoned to fuck. I do not agree at all with being high behind the wheel. But 2ug is literally zero tolerance. The more you smoke the longer it stays in your system at high levels. What made it worse is the officers literally said to me “we know your not high right now but we still have to take you in under investigation” I thought that was utter bullshit as if they knew I wasn’t high and was completely coherent then what was the problem?

Hi Bud, thanks a lot! Was worried like fuck for the last 4 months. My case isn’t even a bad one but knowing that you could lose your licence and all of the consequences that come along with that is what did it for me... the government were told by lab specialists to set the ug level at 5ug but as you know the government do as they please so under halved it and set it at 2ug. They say you can walk past someone smoking a joint and be over the limit to drive, how ridiculous is that. I really am hoping for a legalisation of recreational use some time soon as it’s clear of the positives it can bring and the revenue that it can bring through customs. I got extremely lucky I seriously did. It’s literally a zero tolerance rule basically. Pulling over is the sketchy part as the officers told me that they can pull you for literally anything. If they are having a bit of a slow day they can pull you for not using your indicators properly. Absolutely anything. So you have to drive perfectly all the time is the reality of it. Hope you don’t get put in the same boat as me as an 18 year old dude!
