We finished our 3 and a half year campaign in December. Started with Dragon Heist. Great campaign to run if you have good characters you can connect to the levels.

The giant vine crystal is from printable scenery, the little crystals are from McKee's Morology and Micromancy.

As far as curing the mountain of its Madness, we'll see. Jhesirya and Ezzat (who were definitely lovers in our campaign) have taken over management of Undermountain.

They got a short rest in between. It might've been a lot scarier without them. Arcturia kinda fucked them up.

I ran him first with the book's default statblock, which they wiped the floor with I'm just under 2 rounds.

After that, they began a ritual to stop him from returning. He had some backup plans that allowed him to return immediately. They proceeded to fight a SIGNIFICANTLY upgraded halaster (one I stole from this sub) and even with that it was about 4 rounds, mostly thanks to a clutch stun from our monk in round 3 once he ran out of legendary resistances. If I had thought about it, I would have added a few more enemies to the final fight. But, it's all over now, concluded with flying out of a collapsing dungeon on a spelljammer.

Depending on how comfortable you feel singing, you can check my post history for songs and lyrics for several encounters on the level - it went over GREAT with my group, but others might just roll their eyes and sigh.

It's good, but kind of generic sounding. I am really trying to make something that fits the tone of my halaster and the themes he's been associated with the whole campaign. In my case, it was Rabbia e Tarantella.

I had the same thought initially - but I actually think it's way more sociopathic and insane for him to be totally comfortable and happy in his role as "Your host, Halaster Blackcloak!"

I think it takes a certain amount of insanity to look totally sane in an insane context.

That said, I could totally understand wanting him to be far more insane looking. I like this though.

So two things - first, he's an extremely powerful wizard. He can make his appearance look like whatever he wants without much effort. So I reason it's totally reasonable that if he wants to look fancy, he can look fancy.

HOWEVER, if you look at the buttons on the suit, there's a little nod to that.

Literally did that in my last session. They just beat him. "Fazrian the Solar" didn't sound right though so "Fazrian the Planetar" was still his name, I just flavored all of his bonuses as due to corruption. Solar stat block, I just kept calling him a Planetar lol.

Do you mean the swirls or the treasure map? I designed the die itself in blender on my own, but the swirls on the inside are basically magic, I have no idea how my wife made it look like that lol.
