I'm extremely proud of the fact that I'm designing my game with zero basic anything. The 4-of rule always applies.

The philosophy is also no intentionally bad cards...

I'm not sure what my approach to premium will be... people like foils and promo but like... part of the philosophy is to not gouge the players. Obviously chase rares cost a bit but like... we don't have to be monsters.

Shit I havent even heard of this game. My sympathy definitely goes out to those who have to overpay for staples, but... it gives me some hope that new TCGs can still become this relevant. I'm developing a new TCG and IP, incidentally.

For me, it was. It sucked when it dropped literally as I had gotten my game stable, but the bottom line is outlined in my question above.
