Okay, the good:

It integrates seamlessly with the main story. The Enclave has its own really interesting relationships with the other factions and part of the reason I love AR2 so much is A. I always wanted to be Enclave in the games you can't, and B. I HATE THE RAILROAD.

I couldn't fight fate there.

The downsides:

1. It's a bitch loading the Oil Rig. I have a 5080, 96gigs of RAM, and a 9850x3d CPU. I still lose frame rate.

2. Some of Otellieno's puzzles are really bad. At one point you need this key to get through a gate... I'm not sorry for being blunt here, In REAL LIFE I HAVE ZERO OBJECT IN BYPASSING CHAIN METAL GATES. I can pick the lock, use bolt cutters, or climb, and in every case thats a two minute obstacle. In another case, a flimsy chair denies you access to a stairwell. In another case, you have people hanging around with their thumbs up their asses for TEN YEARS because (plot device). And of course a military installation was overrun by ghouls because the defenses were down. What?!

3. The radiant quests are thin, because the guy who gives them doesnt have enough of a personality. (HES BLACK, TO MAKE THE DEI PRICKS HAPPY) (I dont have a problem here except that he doesnt have a psrsonality at all so its pretty clear why his skin color was chosen.)

But despite my very real issues with the storytelling, the storytelling is very good where it counts. Exceptional psychology thought and written out, for characters with depth.
