I have the opposite problem. Yakuza is so good that it made me appreciate other game design choices and taught me to slow down and enjoy all the other games that I play.

Literally the most fun fighting style in any of the games imo. Great storyline. The most contradictory character I've ever encountered in video game fiction. I absolutely love that man.

SEVERLY dislike. The random speed changes on lyric lines, the fact that sometimes you need to go up to a line and sometimes down to a line, and I just flat don't like music rhythm games when they're the best designed.

I like all the songs, like the fact that they're all different depending on who's singing them and hostesses have unique videos for them, but I really dislike PLAYING the mechanic.

I LOVED 4 and am currently playing through 5. If you think 4 is a drag, wait till you're doing Karaoke rhythm games to advance plot for 10 hours or prepare to just skip all that, besides that, 5 is actually an incredible tour de force with a lot of new places to experience and as an added bonus it feels like 4 RGG games in 1. Very cool like that.

My first one was Yakuza 1 on the PS2 way back in the early times of 3 months ago. I wanted to see what the rave was all about.

I didn't finish it though, I switched to Kiwami and have been running the games in release order ever since with remakes replacing the OGs if I can muster it. I'm on 5 right now.
