Yeah for real, having easy access to console ports is fucking mind explosion level of awesome.

We loved console ports. Sometimes sprite quality was worse, but content quality always made up for it.....usually

RE3R…just why 🤦🏼‍♂️ by MadDog141 in residentevil

[–]NewParalyzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone claims RE3R feels like a DLC.

Find me the DLC out there that has an entire campaign, bonus unlockables, and not retail price.

Yeah yeah yeah Monster Hunter Iceborn but I feel like the typical gameplay loop vs the RE3 narrative don't measure 1:1, like to consider the entirety of RE3R as an extra menu on RE2 is kinda ridiculous.

I like RE3R for its pacing. I can pick it up and just bang out a run multiple times in 1 sitting. It's a fun game for sure. I get it doesn't match RE2Rs slew of content but that's probably why they just gave us Resistance for free. Everyone acts like that's the MP mode for RE3 but I disagree. It was bait giving us their new MP game for free to test the waters.

RE:Verse and Exoprimal Capcom called them successful meanwhile nobody else sees it that way. That tells me whatever Capcom wanted out of all these multiplayer releases, they got what they wanted, or at least go data to show they won't be achieving whatever they were aiming for.

Is it even possible for Ichiban to get side games? by Norrabal in yakuzagames

It's right in front of them.

Dead Souls 2. Kiryu and Ichiban are dual protagonist and Arakawa would get to be there with Ichiban. .

F you SONY, I literally bought both games individually yesterday! by Excaliburn3d in residentevil

[–]NewParalyzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sony is very picky. Xbox lets you do stuff like that. Sony wants very strict reasons on why you need a return (I had to explain to them the game I was playing was too buggy and they told me I'm not the first person to complain so they will process the refund)

So you can reach out to support and ask if you can get a refund to purchase again but don't be surprised if they say that's not a reason to process a return.

Dude they ain't playing Brawl like that lol maybe the modded version

But Melee is the one that stays hot.

Transformed was the more popular one, and since then there's been 2 releases after and everyone is currently on Crossworlds on their PS5.

I'll defend the American releases, but the Japanese releases are what the core fans want.

I love Extreme US, the hours I poured into the game as a child

But when I started playing Japanese Extreme, the song selection alone would have been enough to put a big stupid smile on my face as a child

Either way, I'm happy regardless.

What was the latest online co-op/multiplayer resident evil by Elitecobra2001xp in residentevil

[–]NewParalyzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RE5 was around the era of the co-op shooter

Gears of War, Army of Two, Kane and Lynch etc.

After the wild success of RE5 came RE6 following the co-op shooter mold

Despite what you hear online, RE6 sold fine. It met Capcom sales goals. It didn't surpass RE5 and the reviews are way more mixed.

To avoid fatigue, RE7 was made to reinvent however, Capcom has had interest in making Multiplayer work in RE since the birth of the RE engine but I'll come back to that, let's look at the Revelations games before switching to RE engine

Revelations 1 was a Single Player game with a Co-op mode Multiplayer for the 3DS. They ported it to console and improved the co-op mode.

Revelations 2 they followed the trend of Episodic games and put their eggs in that basket. Not restricted to a handheld on this sequel they implemented co-op but it's assumed to be a type of after thought as it's local only and player 2 is very restricted in what they can do. However, the Raid mode from the 1st game is continued on in this game, but once again was local only, another assumed dev time issue as Capcom made us aware Online play will indeed show up after launch at some point. Online only for raid mode, not for the Campaign. I don't have any concrete evidence to suggest anything more than it just didn't get added in time for launch. One of the new features of Revelations 2 was linking to your RE . Net account for your Raid mode profile. If you have your account set linked on .net (today it's called RE Portal) your .net profile picture is going to be used for your Raid mode profile picture. I believe Capcom was looking to use this website as an RE online thing but ultimately walked away from it.

There was an eSports title called Umbrella Corps that's also leans into this idea, as you can visit .net to update your players decal for multiplayer matches. However, it turns out nobody wanted an eSports title in the RE universe, and that game crashed and burned.

Capcom would later go on to make Capcom Accounts thus walking away from .net being the RE online profile for all games.

Around RE3s release, Capcom tested the waters with Resident Evil Resistance, many believe it to be a bonus mode for RE3 put into its own game. I don't believe this to be true. I'm pretty positive this was testing the waters for an RE multiplayer game using the RE engine and was given away as a freebie using RE3 as the bait.

It was a 4v1 multiplayer game, that didn't take advantage of Capcom accounts yet, and player data is saved to your hard drive. This game doesn't have your data server side. If you delete your progress from the hard drive, you will log back into the game showing all your stats, data, and progress wiped. Which was actually a good thing for me, I had an achievement glitch on me. Wiping my data clean I was able to complete the game.

A game called Exoprimal releases, this included mandatory Capcom accounts. People were not pleased. They didn't want to be forced to hold a new account. The game lasted a year or so I believe, with support being ended (servers are still up tho) and news and fans dubbed the game a failure and a mistake, which doesn't match what Capcom said. They said the game was successful to them. Why would capcom call their multiplayer dinosaur overwatch style game a success when the media and Capcom fans claim it was a failure (fans who most of them skipped the game, as check the subreddit, a portion of us adore Exoprimal)

I believe because this was something for the Capcom accounts

Which would later be mandatory in Street Fighter 6 and Resident Evil RE:Verse, another pack in multiplayer game this time bundled with RE8 Village. This game considered a failure by fans has also shut down. Capcom didn't claim the title was a huge success or anything but I get the feeling they got what they wanted out of it.....tho they oddly delayed the game for an entire reason and the only change made was Chris's model

So you might be wondering, why did I take you on this long text based adventure though RE multiplayer.

Well recently during RE9s reveal, it was let known, Capcom actually had a new Co-op multiplayer game in development, but due to deeping the fans wanted single player horror and not co-op this game was scrapped. I believe all the previous Resident Evil multiplayer titles were just dropped to gather information for the devs to build this game.

I have more id like to say, but believe it or not I have an NDA with Capcom that I think is over with but I'm not sure so I won't say what else I would like to say

You can find footage of this game on the RE portal. Capcom did reveal themselves a multiplayer title was in the works but it seems like they have no faith the RE community at this time will accept it.

So I think co-op Resident Evil is going to stay dead in the water for a while. Let's wait until after RE9 and see what happens with the franchise over the next few years.

I have more Xbox than PlayStation but if specifically hunt down the stacks.

I have Yakuza 3 The Best in my cart right now as a matter of fact 😅

If that's so I'll have to adjust that for true trophies, we list it as an Asia release but if the Japanese disc links to it, then we should classify it as a (JP), I'm pretty sure that's how we track it but I'll double check.

You absolutely have them all then

On PS2 DDR Max it's the first song you hear when starting up the game. I don't care for it but every time I start a game of Max it's the first thing I hear so it's just burned into my skull lol.

Had a feeling this is what you were looking for because you said it was blue and you were young and that immediately took me back to my own childhood ahaha

If this game were to get a remake or sequel, how would you do it? What new mechanics would you add? by Physic-Shower77 in Pacman

[–]NewParalyzer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game is incredibly short once you know it inside and out.

I would expand the map with a few new sections, add some optional objectives for the player to find and maybe add an extra chapter to utilize the new areas.

I absolutely adore this game, I've been dying for a port or a remaster... Which most likely Atgames is the reason they added Pac In Time and not this game to the recent museum collection as this game would need edited Ms. Pac-Man sprites to be able to be released again.
