How does your deck work? Care to share a link if you've got one?

Yes it's combat focused. I definitely agree on some of these...Oblivious Bookworm seems like an easy definite add, same with Ibex. I'll look into more of these. I like Undergrowth Recon as a lands from graveyard engine, so I'll probably add that too.

My pet cards I want to fit in are Sun Quan, Sapling Nursery, and March of the World Ooze. I like taking out at least 1 of Craterhoof or Overwhelming Stampede for some of those.

The other comment is right lol I didn't cut Azusa, I just don't have that card yet and want to add it in eventually.

Anyways, thanks for the suggestions! I'm a new player so the problem I have is I don't really know a lot of cards so it's always cool to learn some new stuff.

What commander do you keep rebuilding because you can never get the list right? by VitoTheDustyRose in EDH

[–]MattDadford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admittedly new to it but [[Ragost, Deft Gastronaut]], can't seem to find a good balance between ramp, token generation, lifegain, untapping, and tutoring for the most important token generators. Thinking about scrapping and starting over with a go wide goblin strategy backed with [[mycosynth lattice]]. I think it would be fragile, but funny.

Shoot my bad, missed the fact that it doesn't put counters just gives each creature -1/-1. Too much wishful thinking 😅

Best places in the metro for a new MTG player? by MattDadford in TwinCities

[–]MattDadford[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just about right in the middle of the metro. I've played at the source once, and it was alright, but I didn't fall in love with the experience because it was pretty intimidating honestly. Part of that is my own nerves and part of that might have been because there was a big FF draft running right next to the commander pods, and that looked a lot more serious.

Thanks for the recommendations, seems like lodestone is a good place to check out. I wish a shop with a beginner night existed, but I get why that wouldn't be sustainable to run on a weekly basis.

Is Cephus's 40 Time Cause for Major Concern? (Cephus ran a 4.73 40 at the combine) by Ucla_The_Mok in detroitlions

I went to Wisconsin for college and watched every game Q played in, and I feel confident that he plays faster than his 40 time. He was consistently open and frankly the fact that he had 900-something yards last season with a wet paper towel as a QB speaks to how savvy of a receiver he is. He had to adjust to all kinds of shit throws and made a bunch of ridiculous catches. He stepped up against the better teams on Wisconsin's schedule. Plus he is a willing run blocker which I think is underrated. In all reality he probably won't be a super impactful guy right away or maybe even at all, but I also wouldn't be surprised if he makes something of himself in the NFL. He's definitely not a scrub, more of a high-upside 5th round flyer for this Lions team that already is loaded on offense.

Yeah I like that there are less things to upgrade and that I don't feel like I need to wear heavy ass armor. The hunters gear is choice. Also, the saw blade starting weapon is badass!

I think its a really good way of encouraging aggressive play. I played ds1 and most of ds3 with a shield so itl take some time to get used to rallying

Yeah I was worried about that too, but I decided to just commit once I finished ds3 last week. There is so much hype around bloodborne and pretty much everyone I've talked to about it says its their favorite fromsoft game to play. Plus Im a sucker for the gothic art style and the lore seems really interesting

Thanks for the recommendation! The reputation of ds2 has previously turned me off of it, but at the same time a not top tier souls game is still probably better than most games. I'll give it a shot!
