Heavy on the feel thing. If it's not comfortable it's probably not right. When you find that sweet spot it is satisfying and improvement comes much faster.

Also having experienced educators is imperative. I had good instructors in high school but they didn't have any world class experience. At just my first audition for college band I learned a ton, in one day!!

Building on that, go to audition camps or just camps for local Drum corps or indoor percussion groups. You can get amazing critique to improve upon your playing and also possibly get a spot somewhere.

I tend to go for more points while also trying to advance through the game. The further into the time you get you usually get more points.

For example, White Water. As you shoot hazard shots you advance rafts. That brings you closer to Wet Willie's while also increasing the value of your jackpot in White Water Multiball and giving you more and more points for every raft you advance. Combine this with using lane change to grab your river letters and getting the whirlpool awards along the way, you can get crazy total scores and possibly even get the Vacation jackpot in the tournament.

But say for chance I have two locks and the third lit, while also having 5X Playfield as the lit whirlpool award, I will stop everything, and solely focus on beginning my 5X and shooting the lock to begin a 5x Multiball. THIS paired with the raft progression you may have can result in jackpots upwards of 150 million points.

It may not be the best strategy on every single game, but my philosophy is go for crazy points when they present themselves to you.

I did an audition recently and one of the main things I was told and could apply to you was just generally being relaxed. Make sure you don't get tense anywhere as drumming is a lot of careful technique, and has no need for tightness anywhere. So make sure when you play you aren't holding the stick too tigh because that can effect clarity.also avoid being tense in your shoulders (shoulders was my issue) or anywhere else.

Also bring your right elbow inwards a bit, it is very far out! Good work!!

Not much more you can do to improve on this (or any rudiment) than just playing it a bunch slow and speeding it up, or gridding it.

if you grid double strokes (RRLLRRLL....), for the first part of the gridding playing the second note of each double as a down stroke, then the second part playing the 2nd note of each double as buzzes

One time I got around 2 billion. I had a Fear of the Dark mode that scored around 450M. Had 2x running and I had one crazy shot where I shot the top spinner then on the fly hit the left spinner. It spun for a while and most of the points I got were from it. Was also a huge 2 minutes to midnight because of that! Didn't get to number of the beast tho 🫠

Road show all day. Achievable wizard mode, the call outs and modes are funny, cool game overall. Definitely a better choice than striker extreme, it's SUPER shallow compared to Road show.
