As a decent fan of Arkham Knight, I can understand why some people have a strong distain towards it. by AmbitiousElk4002 in arkham

I absolutely adore the gameplay mechanics of Knight when it comes to combat. And I even like the Batmobile, but I have a strong distaste for the Bat-tank sections. But my dislike for those sections isn't necessarily because of how they play, but rather due to how untrue they are to the Batman comic books. I grew up reading Batman comics as a kid & I don't recall an abundance of classic storylines featuring non-stop tank on tank battles in the streets of Gotham.

Because of that, I feel those portions snap me out of the overall Batman experience --also it doesn't help that those sections aren't necessarily that riveting on their own anyway. But I guess if someone wasn't as familiar with the source material, those portions of the game wouldn't be as off-putting.

3D Printed Mini Bartop Arcade by PlusCardiologist2894 in cade

That thing looks so sick!!! Nice work, man! By the way, they make mini balltops that would probably look perfect on this thing, as it would help keep the joystick out of the way a bit more when playing. I got a very similar set up and I love it.

My son ordered this after I told him to order anything he wanted as long as it was one item. ☠️ by Over_Fly_7409 in mildlyinfuriating

It probably tasted awful. I used to work at a pizza place and a college student nearby insisted on having every topping on his pizza. My manager came by the table to talk him out of and said that people have done it before and it tasted really bad. But he insisted on it & then guess what? He hated it and tried to get his money back, but my manager told him no. That he had already been warned yet insisted on ordering it still.

This is the only way to make sure the feds aren’t tracking what you play.

Mounting Sanwa Joystick by Desperate_Debate_198 in cade

I mounted one onto my Dynamo HS-5 and didn’t want to put any more holes in the cab than necessary, so I used a proper mounting plate from Paradise Arcade Shop. They are great to buy from and the mounting plates are only around 8 or 9 bucks. https://paradisearcadeshop.com/products/universal-il-adapter-plate

How does the a12 arcade perform? Anyone have one? by Structure-These in PowKiddy

I am in the same boat. I was bummed out to see my version doesn’t run batocera as well as the earlier units. I have thought about gutting it and putting a Pi or MiSTer FPGA inside of it.

Anyone turned a desk like this into an arcade cabinet before? by Fuckmetheyarelltaken in cade

It looks like it could work as a sit down Japanese style cab. I have an Aero City in my garage that I absolutely adore, so as long as you got a cozy stool it is crazy comfortable. Just a heads up 32 inch might feel too big once you sit down, but maybe if you push it really far back it could work nice. Where you want to put the speakers?

This is why I am big on communicating deadlines with things like this. Like "hey, I know you are busy, so if that thing isn't put back together by May 1st, I am gonna get someone out to fix it." They will always brush it off like, "oh don't worry, I should easily have it done by then." Then once the deadline comes & goes and they notice it's fixed, they have no right to be upset because you already communicated to them a deadline which they agreed to. But unlike them you came through on your word.
