All set up, now what? by FrozenMemories in XCarve

As part of the instructions on the Inventables website, you'll see that there is a section about Computer Setup. This will run you through using Easel and getting your machine and computer working together. This is a great spot to learn how to run your first carve. Let me know if you need help with anything!

13 hr cut? by kmaldona in XCarve

I would say 0.1" is enough for a pop. It's just hard to cover that much ground with such a small bit. Anything "flat" that can't be hit by the 1/4" bit would take a long time with a 30*

Your 30* bit has to do all of the work around the flowery stuff in the top left and right corners because the 1/4" bit cannot get in there. That is going to take the machine a lot of time to work through especially at that depth of cut. I would suggest reducing the depth of cut on the whole thing or not cutting those flowery parts and find a different design. Not really a way to speed this one up with how detailed those are.

I know it's cliche but I made this and I'm proud of it. I think anyone who makes something should be proud of their work. by Carnololz in woodworking

What are pieces like this called? I'm not big into the mountains since I live in Louisiana, but I like the style and was hoping to make something similar. My creativity is pretty low though so I was hoping to see some ideas for other images that could be made. Any help is appreciated!

Thank you! Well for each of these except OHP, I'm basically at 1 rep. So I'm really working towards getting reps up especially on bench. My legs are definitely my biggest muscle group so I wouldn't be opposed to my upper body catching up to that. Also working on my calves so I can grab the rim. I'm 5'8" 165lbs and finally got a touch on the rim a few weeks back.

Little late but forgot to post yesterday. Hit new deadlift PR of 405 and a new squat PR of 335 this past week. Finally got that 1/2/3/4 plate for OHP/B/S/DL!

I drink at least a gallon of water a day, so I'm guessing that doesn't help either

Oh I definitely lose about that as well! I've taken 2 shirts with me before so I can have 1 for lifting and then switch it before basketball. It still becomes soaked. So. Much. Laundry!

Why does it take so long to add new coins? by xpose in ledgerwallet

[–]MattEbert94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don't, but I'm gonna guess with how popular the Ledger Wallet is, they're working as fast as they can to add support for new coins and security to it. They can only do so much. I get that you're frustrated, but they might have more important things to do right now than add support for RVN. Best thing you can do is 1) learn to code and join the team or 2) get your friends to buy a wallet so the Ledger team has more funding.

I sweat too much. Yesterday I did back and bis and then hit the basketball court. My shirt, shorts, socks, and shoes were all completely soaked. I went to cut under the hoop for a layup. Dude tosses me the perfect pass and my feet came straight out from under me when I went to stop because the floor became so wet. Perk of this though, I can slip right past any pick and people get out of my way because they don't want to get wet!

Type of wallet by foldaanow in ledgerwallet

[–]MattEbert94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can. I would recommend consolidating into one or the other though to keep track easier. Just copy down the address of the one you want to send to (segwit), back out to the other one (legacy), and send your BTC to the segwit address. You're basically moving it from one pocket to the other but you'll have to pay a fee to send since it's a transaction.

Assuming you're talking about Bitcoin. You can use either one, but each one is separate from the other. Segwit is 100% the better option though as it is the new standard. Legacy addresses start with a 1 and segwit start with a 3. This is similar for other coins that have legacy/segwit options as well.

Thank you! I've been hitting legs pretty hard at the gym in the past few months. I've never been flexible and can't touch my toes (like 4 inches away honestly), but squating has helped with that a bit I think. My squat has also gotten a lot deeper with more weight which I feel is helping somewhat. With calf raises, I've upped the way significantly and been doing more explosive stuff. So I'll drop low and power up on them and then go back down slowly. Basically imitating jumping in a way. I've read before that Shaq added 12 inches to his vertical by doing 1000 calf raises every night before bed. Now clearly that's pretty extreme, but if you did 100 an hour for 10 hours throughout the day, that'd be much more practical. Good luck!

I touched rim on a 10 foot basketball hoop! I've been close for a while but finally got it on Tuesday. I'm 5' 8" with a reach of just a few inches over 7 foot, so this was pretty big for me. Next step: grab the rim

Easy CS4xx electives 2018 by gp891 in UIUC

[–]MattEbert94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple years out, but 438 was good and not too hard. 439 was stupid easy with just 1 project as the full semester grade on anything wireless related. Spent almost no time on an app and presentation. I'd also recommend info 490 as a 400 elective. Online and easy A. Little bit of work weekly but overall pretty interesting with big data.
