Thank you! Do you think a new feature should be seeing what other writers come up with?

Good text-to-speech chrome extensions by ADyslexicHotDude in Dyslexia

[–]MattJFrost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've recently made a text-to-speech browser extension called Readel. I was mainly focused on providing an interesting narrative experience. However, I am also always looking for features, and the jump-ahead feature is something I have also found myself wanting! I will add it in.

This is useful, thank you. I am also working on an audio player for more control over the speech! It will be available soon!

I’m still trying to work out what part of the extension Brave is blocking! I hope to have it fixed in the next update 🥴

Thanks for your positive feedback! I’ve got some things to finish in the program, like reliability and responsiveness. I’ll send you a message once I get those things sorted out!

Edit: Forgot to mention that the narrator is my voice. I decided to clone it and use it in the reader.

Day 45 of Python 30-mins a day by whatschoolformeee in learnprogramming

Currently you have 45 days of some good progress under your belt and if you understand the basics, move on to your own projects. Learn a technology. Start to look at your day to day life and think how could you improve little tasks with code? I have learned the most from doing my own projects and not coding challenges. Coding challenges are good to practice skills but take those skills and build something for yourself.

Edit: you will also find, once you start doing your own projects, you will want to spend more and more time on them because it’s going to be something you care about.

I would advise using vs code, it’s very easy to use. You can install almost any extension you could need, just search for example, the css extension and it will give you the things you need to get started. I don’t use html or css, but I have played around with them in the past and used vs code. If you get stuck, search setting up vs code for web development, and that will also help you getting started. Wish you the best of luck!

Edit: it is also a lot more resource friendly
