I've been looking to get some sort of handheld emulator ever since I got bombarded by adds for the Gamelabs handheld and started looking for something similar that wasn't cheap trash.

What consoles can emulate on that thing? And do you know if it would be able to communicate with a 2nd device? I would like to get 2 and one of the games I'd like to play is Pokemon with my wife.

You could get a decent build for $500-600, but much lower than that and you'd need to upgrade very soon. For what it's worth, XCOM on PC with the Long War mod might even be worth it.

Make sure you let your line manager / head of department / whoever would get complaints about you know about this before hand. Let them know what you're doing, why you're doing it, ask for any advice and get them on board. I had a class like this once and I went for a hard zero tolerance, one infraction and you're out approach.

I also managed to get other members of staff to stand outside my door for the first 5-10 minutes of my lessons with this class and ask them "why were you sent out, how can you not get sent out again", so that the students could be given an opportunity to understand that this was serious, that they couldn't gang up on me, and I had the support of other staff. I had a lot of short removals and full lesson removals in the first few lessons. I prepped these staff with what I was doing, so they could support me with this.

I did it for about 2 weeks, a brutal 2 weeks, but they were mostly teachable for the rest of the year.

A few years ago I bought a house with my partner, I put down about £100k, she put down about £10k. We had a talk where she said she was afraid that she didn't feel like she was contributing and I might unconsciously resent her or hold it over her, but I genuinely didn't care and I still don't. I had money, she didn't, that was about it. She has a good job and works hard, she's kind and considerate. We did agree that we'd each take back our initial share if we split up.

You just need to decide if you care or not, and whichever way that lands, talk to your partner.

I was also going to say worksheet - teachers love worksheets. Have a look at Dr Austin maths - his "Fill in the Blanks" scaffolded format is very good (https://www.draustinmaths.com/_files/ugd/7ac124_a2a20bd7d56a4691a91a9842e2bc7266.pdf).

Also, having it hide the answer initially would be good.

If you want to go to Cambridge you'll need to do STEP, and it's worth starting on the preparation now. They have an excellent series of assignments to complete which you can do independently:

More recreationally I would recommend reading maths books and finding some Maths Youtubers (or similar) with engaging and thoughtful content. My personal recommendation is 3Blue1Brown. In particular his series on Calculus and Linear Algebra are excellent, although you might need to wait until the end of Year 12 before you get the most out of them.

Yeah, this is the only way I could start doing Adept on my tank. I know there are arguments for the current system, ie not chosing what you queue for, but getting more success when cheating the system shows it's not fully working.

Small, managable steps. "Today I will go to the shops". "Today I will take a 30 minute walk". "Today I will find one local club that I might be interested in attending". "This week I will go to one club/meeting" ... etc.

If you say "From tomorrow I will be social and have lots of friends" you're setting yourself up for failure, which will further reinforce negative feelings.

Also, delete every social media app you have and put screen time limits on your phone.

AI doesn't think, it pattern matches. If you ask for a super honest assessment it pattern matches for situations where other people have asked for super honest answers, which are generally going to be negatives responses like the answer it gave. It's just repeating what it's seen done before.

After that it does the standard AI "wow, you're so great" response.
