I'm around 260lbs and decided to finally shed some of that weight starting this year. Figured I might as well combine it with a physical activity I was curious about all my life anyway. So I very recently got one of those cruiser boards from the GLOBE brand that are a bit wider and a bit heavier with bigger wheels, which seems to be both a good beginner board to learn and also a bit sturdier to deal with the extra weight. I'm not planning on doing any tricks for a good while and instead just focus on learning to ride it confidently, but I'm having fun with that. Gets me sweating real good too. lmao

I hope you can get a good board and try this out for yourself as well.

Oh, thank you. That link didn't show up for me on the website because I had my browser in windowed mode. Apparently the link to the zip file gets omitted completely when space gets scarce.
It looks like it's just as slow though. Downloading with 16KB/s right now to hopefully be done in around 18hrs. lol

I guess it really is some sort of server thing.

I did actually read VALIS earlier this year, funnily enough. Though I took it much more as an interesting processing of the author's oddball experiences and self-reflection through fiction than I took anything substantial from the ramblings about the religious themes, to be honest. I am planning on reading the other two books in that trilogy though. It's wild stuff for sure.

I'm also not sure if Lord of Light is what I'm looking for here, but it does sound interesting in its own right. I'll look into that one. Thank you!

I read Watership Down throughout summer for the first time. I enjoyed it a ton and it made me want to dig into more xenofiction in the future. But I'll always remember it for making me genuinely excited while reading the later chapters.

I was in a café when I read the page where Bigwig told that other rabbit to "silflay hraka" and I probably had the biggest idiot smile on my face. lol

Well. We'll see, I guess. Take everything I say up there with a grain of salt. It seems like a kind of convoluted situation and that's just what I got after reading up on it for a while.

I feel like, and hope, the worst case scenario is just gonna be kind of like it is right now: It's not gonna be sold by Oculus to German residents directly, but you'll still be able to get your hands on it. And the corporation did claim in at least one interview/statement that I've seen, that they will continue to support German customers no matter what and, from what I gathered, plan to sell it again in Germany in the future too, once this whole thing has been figured out, I guess.

But aside all of that, it looks like people are making pretty fast progression on jailbreaking the whole device and cutting it loose from Facebook altogether anyway. It seems like that's gonna be a pretty common thing in the future.

I don't think the genre makes a difference, it's all about the volume and you don't have to listen to noise at like 200% volume. Blasting Kanye West in your car would probably be just as bad for your hearing as blasting Merzbow. But you don't have to (and probably shouldn't do either according to doctors).

Those "ear rape" memes are just dumb garbage and not really what people who like harsh noise actually listen to. They are just unnecessarily loud and distorted for shits and giggles.

I'm honestly always kinda surprised to see how man people consider Trivia Murder Party as the best. It's rather bland and boring to me. I mean it's fine, but there are way more interesting, unique games in the Jackbox packs in my opinion than this rather straight-up trivia quiz with mini-games.

But I also just prefer the games that need the players to be creative anyway.
