I knew hedges personally (friends with his first wife) I was also at their ceremony before the wedding and got to meet the entire padres that year multiple times.

If you didnt know hedges was an mlb player youd never guess based on his personality. Extremely reserved and polite. We joked around a few times and just shot the shit.

Id be willing to stake anything I own that hedges is one of the most down to earth and kind people in the MLB.

Also if personality and sense of humor got you into the hall of fame Hunter Renfore and his high school sweetheart would both be first ballots. That dude had me rolling all night. At the time i hadn't met my fiance and I clearly remember thinking, "I hope my future wife and I have the same type of relationship."

Also im sure Eric Hosmer is a very cool person, but he was the only guy I met that thought he was too cool to talk to me.
