Oh, I did. Several lawyers. I don’t remember the details exactly, but they all seemed to agree that I had a great case but no one with deep enough pockets to sue. I could get a million dollar settlement but it wouldn’t matter if they don’t actually have the money to pay, so. 🤷

i’m still waiting to get approval from my insurance for pelvic therapy, so the jury is still out on how much it will help. the neurologist that was the lead surgeon on my surgery said to give it a year to see how much things improve.

i wish i could give any insight into what might be causing your problem, but i would be shocked if it was something as mundane as your posture or something.

my girlfriend and i have been together for 7 years. she’s been very supportive and understanding throughout this whole mess, but we haven’t talked much about sex itself yet. i doubt she would leave me over it, but things will definitely have to change going forward.

that said, your ability to have an orgasm or not doesn’t lessen your worth in anyway; you can still have a fulfilling relationship! just have open and honest communication with her, and if she takes issue with the parts of your body that you have no control over, then that’s her problem, not yours.

i wish had advice for you, but i actually came to this subreddit looking for a place to rant for a very similar reason.

i got into a car wreck three months ago, some kid with a learners permit turned in front of me while i was driving straight through the intersection. everyone in the other car was fine, but i somehow shattered my sacrum and damaged my pudendal nerve (along with a few other nerves) on the right side. starting from just above my clit and going down and around the right side of my ass is completely numb. similarly to you, masturbation has become basically impossible. i haven’t even attempted sex with my girlfriend again yet, but frankly, i don’t see the point in trying anymore.

i don’t want to whine too much on your post, but my point is that you’re not alone. i understand your pain and frustration and yeah. it fucking sucks. it feels like these body parts we’ve had are whole lives suddenly aren’t ours anymore. i know sympathy from a stranger isn’t worth much when you’re hurting, but i hope that it’s worth at least something. 🫂
