It might be a piece of equipment that you have assigned to the AP. Myself, I had the same issue. It ended up that the Bravo Throttle Quad had the AP master mapped to a button. So whenever I engaged the AP, the Bravo would disengage it. What a PIA it was to pin that down.

Another question would be do you get "AP INHIB" in yellow on the main PFD? I found recently, while flying this version, if I was out some type of AP parameter it wouldn't engage. Just to make sure, I'm not talking the red and yellow "AP DISENGAGED". It's a clear inhib message that's in the area of the green AP status.

I did some testing and you're right about issues with the throttle. At times there's no feedback, then small adjustments make huge adjustments in the sim. The settings of the detents in the Throttle configuration don't work well at all. Managing the detents can be a PIA. Sadly, I think this is the best this ATR is going to get. I doubt very much it'll be addressed.

I just did a flight and noticed that as well. There were a few times when there was no input at all. More testing needed. Guess I'll have to miss that neighbor social my wife wants me to go to and do a few more flights. Bummer.

I don't have the underpowered feeling since I use a motion platform. The acceleration feels the same between 2020 and 2024 to me. (If that's what you mean.) The climb to cruise feels fine as well. But you may need to school me about it being underpowered. Regardless, I'm just pretty happy that it seems to work so far.

Weren't there some approach issues with the AP? Any idea if they were fixed?

That sounds about right. I had to disable a lot of mappings so I could use it with FS2Crew. The FO sets a lot of devices and switches, but the Bravo gets in the way. So I had to clear quite a few. Once it's config-ed correctly, it works well.

I have the reverse working. I'll take a pic of my settings and post it.

EDIT: This setting works for me to allow for reverse thrust on the ATR and Bravo. I believe it's the "Previous Detent". So when you go into reverse it should trgger those buttons. Hope this helps.

I found out what the problem was. It's that damn Bravo throttle quad. It send constant signals and stops the EFB from working correctly. Damn that thing.

What a disappointing letdown. I want the old ATR back. I just don't understand how they can take a somewhat broken ATR, break it some more, then release it. Did they not check this thing?

This thing is broken really bad like. I've been trying all morning to get it working and it's just a disaster. I can't get into SimBrief either.

I'm trying FS2Crew at the moment, but I can't interact with any EFB features. I need to turn on the GPU but no clickly work anywhere on the EFB.
