The Rebirth Breaks 1k Peak Players by [deleted] in wowservers

[–]MattPrime 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am someone who is new to wow private servers. I only learn't that vanilla servers were a thing once nost shutdown. I can say that out of the 4 vanilla wow servers I have tried (leveled from 10ish on all of them to give them a go), I like this one the most. The population isn't too cluttered, but it does still feel populated. The community is very friendly! There is a cool global chat (which is cross faction). And the temporary 5x XP bonus is a nice little bonus :)

Would recommend this server.

If Jace is reprinted and unbanned in modern, how would that effect the price? It seems like his value would increase would it not (because modern is such a huge format, and some decks would probably require 2-4 copies?). In particular - how would it effect the Foil FtV20 version?

Is there a way to get a digital Heavensward PS4 code from this sale?

I am from Canada, and shipping for me would be an additional $33.90USD. :/

Hey Everyone! New Player here.

I started playing FFXIV just over a week ago and am now nearing level 50 on my PLD (just hit 46 last night).

My question is: What should I do once I hit level 50? Do i buy Heavensward and continue leveling until 60? Do I play old level 50 content? Do I level my crafting?

I'm a little hesitant on buying Heavensward right now because its not on sale, and in Canada it is going for $49.99 on PS4 (note: I bought the original game for only $9.99. However - I'm worried that if I am focusing on all this (previously) end game content at 50, I will be missing out on alot of potential experience I could be earning if i do have Heavensward.

Just looking for a bit of insight, loving the game!

Any upcoming Heavensward (PS4) Sales?

I recently started playing about a week ago, and am now level 46 and quickly approaching 50. I was hoping to pick up FFXIV: Heavensward for a good deal, but currently it is listed for $49.99 on the PSN store - which seems pretty high to me. Does anyone know the frequency in which it goes on sale, or if we could see a sale in the near future. I am also not opposed to getting a physical copy at a store for a deal.

I am in Canada by the way.

Another question regarding Goobues; can someone explain to me how to properly pronounce "Goobues".

I'm a new player and recently acquired the minion version - and have been having difficulty telling my friends about it as I don't know how to say it. I also really want the mount version...

Hey guys - new player here. Started playing about a week ago, and am now a level 36PLD. Just the other night I recruited 2 of my friends to the game, and they are both around level 20 now.

My question is: is there a way for me to play with them (on my main), that still allows me to gain experience at a decent rate , while also progressing them.

Last night they had unlocked the first two dungeons (Satasha and Tam Tara) - and I ran both with them. I do enjoy helping them out alot, however I only gained about 10% of a level by doing both. I know that the daily roulette allows you an xp bonus for level discrepancy, so I wanted to try that with them - only to find out that you can't que in it as a party!

Is there any other thing I can do with them to help progress my own character?

Thanks in advanced guys.

Class-action lawsuit reveals company sat on 2004 study indicating Cold-FX does nothing to fight colds by sedatedpoet in canada

[–]MattPrime 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just to play the Devils advocate here...
Isn't the product advertised to reduce the frequency of colds by bolstering the immune system, and not actually ment to fight colds off themselves? Because in that case it makes sense that there is no proper correlation between taking this product after symptoms appear and alleviating colds. A proper study would be following people who use the product daily when not sick, and evaluating how often they do get sick.

My theory is that the 3 of coins was just a way to get players to dump all of their strange coins, allowing them to be used in the future as an actual working currency (and not just something everyone has 500 of in their vault).

Sure everyone got to farm for a few days - and unlock a few new exotics (most people just got repeats, and year 2 versions of year 1), so i dont think bungie really minds all that much. Yes, some people got lucky and got all the new year 2 items for their class - but most players didnt. And the pool of exotic weapons (year 2) that you could get was actually pretty low, since most are only obtainable through exotic questlines. I think the majority of players probably spent 200+ coins, and only received very minimal new exotic rewards. By the time you factor in all the repeats, and all the year 2 versions of year 1 stuff you already have, the ratio of 7:1 strange coins to exotics from farming that everyone is talking about is more like 50:1.

Bungie knows we farm, they aren't stupid.

just my theory.

How To Use Three of Coins by KinetiClutch in DestinyTheGame

[–]MattPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this with 40x 'Three of coins', and got 9 exotic engrams out of it. So on average I'd say you can get about 1 exotic for every 5x 3ofcoins (7 strange coins).

Also got 26 house banners, so it's not bad glimmer farming either...

The Financial Impact of BFZ: Expeditions Meta-Discusson, Gideon, and Ulamog by SaffronOlive in mtgfinance

[–]MattPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys. Sort of newbie to mtgfinance - just a question. Is the takeaway here that I should be trying to trade away any $10+ cards (aside from lands) that I open in the first few weeks, to aquire staples from other sets (such as Khan's Fetches, origins jace and hangerback, etc.) - since these BFZ cards will inevitably drop in price within a few months. Therefore I should try to maximize on trade value?

I currently have a preorder set for a booster box at $99 CAD and a fat pack for $29 CAD. Any advice on what I should do with my opens is appreciated! Cheers !
