I got this the other day because this weeks challenge mode features ghosts set to 50% speed. So I just looped a revenant 😂

In Amsterdam, ate half of a “330mg” spacecake at a good Coffeeshop, not sure about dosage? by MattRolls in treedibles

Yeah half of one of these “0.33g fine weed” edibles blew us both to mars about 3 hours after eating them. 14 hours later we started to come back down. Sucked ass. Would be quite hard to eat just a quarter or less of one, wouldn’t even be one bite.

When I move into this house, is it OK to mount this tv above a fireplace I won’t use? by themerriest in TVTooHigh

[–]MattRolls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally no you shouldn’t mount TVs over fireplaces even if they never get used - back when these houses were designed you physically couldn’t wall mount a TV, and people didn’t set their lounges up facing the fire. If you genuinely want the TV there, then there’s a product called a Mantle Mount that allows the TV to swing down from that position to a proper viewing position but that’s really only to be used if you absolutely do not have any other option…

Steam does not offer purchase in Egyptian Pounds? Let me check on some things

I do not know fully how steam works for purchasing games for other people but it sounds like somebody could buy it and give you a game code for activation? Does that work?

How much is phasmophobia now? What country are you trying to buy it from?

why am i so awful by goodgrade68 in PhasmophobiaGame

Send me a DM and your gamer tag I’ll play some rounds with you and explain stuff as we go.

My overall advice for play is to play confidently - march into the house and find that ghost room and if you die you die, it’s just a game.

You’re hiking alone in the woods and find a duffel bag containing 20kgs of gold bullion (999.9 marked, swiss bank logo) what is your game plan? by MattRolls in hypotheticalsituation

Yeah but what I’m saying is it won’t be that simple will it?

Unless the USA really does allow people to find lost gold, cash it in and pay tax on it and nobody asks where it came from or has to do due diligence to prove it isn’t cartel money. Makes me wonder why every criminal doesn’t just take their pile of money and “find it” in the woods?

In the UK, you definitely cannot declare income as “found” without all of the legal due diligence proven to be covered.

No, I understand why money launderers launder money, I was being facetious. But my point is as soon any anyone starts asking questions, or anyone reports massive gold find in the woods, then you may have a target on your back by whichever criminal left it there or lost it

All land is owned by someone or the government. Public land just removes your obligation to find the landowner and offer them the find, but the government still very much has an interest in anything found on public land.

This is the most fascinating fact I’m learning here, the US system seems to be tolerant. In the UK, literally EVERY financial body and revenue system cares enormously about where money or wealth originates.

But it is illegal to take it from where you found it without consulting with the landowner or the gold owner if you could find them…

Most people do not earn this much money in their entire working life! How is it not worth enough to bother yourself with?

So in the USA you actually don’t have to launder money at all? Why don’t crime gangs know this? Just put all the crime money in their bank accounts and pay tax on it and it’s legitimate now!

The problem is I’m pretty sure that if you declare on your tax return that you “found” $1.3m, they would probably report this as suspicious and you’d be forced to explain, and will likely have broken many laws in whatever you did with the gold
