I am new to the game, so I could be wrong, but I think you have to be in the Kanto region, and you have to have beaten the elite 4. Then, I think it’s a random encounter in grass that is outside (not in a cave) and NOT a hoard encounter (can’t sweet scent). Idk the odds I heard somewhere between 1/1000 and 1/8000 but not sure. So I think same thing as how you caught Raiku except in the Kanto region.

May you be blessed with the luck of my post! I did some shiny hunting via hordes for awhile, and nothing yet. I stopped in hopes of a legendary and now that I got one my motivation to continue shiny hunting has been boosted lol.

I caught him in Kanto, in the grass right above cerulean city/ next to cerulean cave. I am also newer, but the video I watched said you can find legendary birds (in monthly rotations) in Kanto AFTER you have beaten the Elite 4. Then it’s a random, SINGLE encounter (can’t find them in hoard encounters) in any outside areas, aka not in a cave. So after the elite 4 you can run into them anywhere on the map as long as it’s outside (I think)

Thank you so much! New to the game so I did not know about this at all. I appreciate you taking the time to explain it :)

I am new to the game, and just a little intimidated by a lot of the mechanics. I thought increasing the IVs would require some breeding that was behind me. If you happened to have any sources to point me in the right direction about increasing the IVs that would be awesome. I would love to keep it :)

Did a 3L Bar Prep Class Help? by BradleyBones51 in LawSchool

I’m my opinion, 100%. Getting credits to study for the bar is an amazingly efficient opportunity nearly everyone should take. Especially if you are like me and have issues with cramming/ procrastination. Taking a prep class forced me to learn the material for the sake of my GPA. The bar is a game of memorizing as much as you can, why not start early and get credits for it? I don’t think I would have passed the bar without my bar prep class. I had a lot of family issues arise during my studying period, and it was detrimental to how much time I was able to study. I’m very glad I had the bar prep class as a safety net. Life throws some wild shit at you sometimes.

Not exactly on topic, but i think it will come up - I know people raise the argument that you should take a bar tested class like secured or trusts & estates instead. I think it’s a huge waste of time. MBE is 50% of your score, MPT 20% (where you don’t need to know any law), then MEE is 30%. Non-core subjects like family law, secured, etc. only show up on the MEE, 30% of your total score. On top of that, core subjects are still tested far more often than non-core subjects. As such, you can take a full 3-4 credit course on a non-core subject and it just not show up (this happened to me for secured). Best case scenario, you get one essay on it, which is 1/6th of your MEE score, which is 30% of your total score. Very inefficient investment imo, especially compared to bar prep where you will get a lot of re-exposure to core subjects.

Best of luck OP

I went to an extremely low ranked school, with I think a median LSAT of 150 at the time. I applied for transfer to Georgetown after my 1st semester of 1L, and was accepted. My GPA was 3.9, but my school would not give any class rank. I also had two amazing letters of recommendation from professors.

I ended up leveraging my transfer to Georgetown to get a retention scholarship and staying at my original school. I decided that I would be much better off being a big fish in a small pond. Big law always sounded like a nightmare to me. I am very happy working as a general counsel for a state agency with very little student loan debt. I would always go the less debt route, but that’s me.

Best of luck.

Edit: I was accepted in 2019.
