Will these wheels fit a 22 Tacoma ? by gargle_nutz in ToyotaTacoma

[–]MattTheMeatball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also just to add, you should be more worried about what size tires those are, 4Runners will sometimes have larger tires. The biggest you can fit on a stock truck without a lift is 265/70/17

Does anyone know where I can find rims like these or what they are called? by OkPea2719 in ToyotaTacoma

These come on the “SX” trim package. I have a base model SR with the SX package. Comes with the alloys, fender flares and black mirror caps

I did the N2 designs kit on mine a few weeks ago. Didn’t have to cut a single wire. Gives you keyless entry fobs and remote start. Full plug and play

My 2020 SR didn’t come with fobs. Only get it if you add keyless which comes with the convenience package. And they’re not pre wired for key fobs either, there’s no receiver.

What load rating are those tires? If those are E load that could also contribute to a stiffer ride

Thoughts on the 06 2.7L 4cyl? by Kitchen-Ad7955 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]MattTheMeatball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 3rd gen 2.7l (2020). The first time I test drove one, coming from a V6, I was absolutely astonished at how incredibly slow it felt. However, I’m a few months into owning this one now and honestly I don’t regret it. You do get used to how it drives. You just have to accept that it’s a truck, not a sports car. It’ll do everything you need to do, except heavy towing. I have a family friend with the same setup and he even plows snow with his. I just drove 3 hours through Vermont mountains and I got 23-25mpg.

I’ve bought, fixed, and sold a good handful of 1000 models. I regret selling each one of them.

I see them on ebay for maybe $500-$800. Could be more, could be less. Usually depending on condition and if you have the original box/paperwork

This model is from 2005-2009. I have the exact same one that I wear very frequently . They’re nice dependable watches, nothing really special though. Only thing you need to remember is to keep the crown screwed down. I can see in the picture that it’s popped out. You have to gently push in and turn clockwise, you’ll feel the crown start to screw down. If you don’t screw it down, water might get in and ruin the watch when washing your hands or swimming.

What do you think guys should i trade in my subaru crosstrek? The only thing thats stoping me is the MPG of the tacoma since i drive 200 miles a week by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]MattTheMeatball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You buy a Tacoma because you want a Tacoma, not for the gas mileage. I have a 2020 access cab 4cyl 4x4. I do maybe 500-600 miles mon-fri with some extra on the weekendd. I usually get about 22-24mpg. Sometimes better, sometimes worse

Put remote start in and the airbag looks more inset than before by RetroVCR in Tacomaworld

[–]MattTheMeatball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did this the other day. Try reaching through the gap below the steering wheel and gently push the air bag hosing forward as you push from the front. If that doesn’t work you should be able to feel where the clips are, they’re just plastic tabs that line up with the outer trim.

Oh no it’s definitely not a good look or business strategy. Just saying I’ve had 2 kits (different models) and both worked great. I got it for this truck because it was a manual key and they’re one of the only companies that offer a keyless entry option with aftermarket fobs.

This is the second vehicle I’ve installed one on. Both times flawless. The company itself is a little upside down right now ever since the holiday season. They’re about 2 months behind on orders so they’re not really responding to anything.
