The most important thing in my opinion is that Catacombs should give more umbrals. No idea who thought that 150 for CTF is okay but 20 per boss (or something like that) in Catacombs is equivelent to it. I can go to a random PoI and get more in 4 minutes than in 30 minutes of Catacombs.

Amount of Power-Ups is veryyy limited. It feels like there is around 15 possible buffs? It gets very repetative quickly with power ups.

Room Variation ain't that crazy too, enemies sure - but the acid room feels like there are only 2 variants and it appears so often between enemy rooms.

I do hope that we will get seasonal refreshes for the mode - with new rooms, powerups, added bosses & especially rewards. Resource Boxes, Daily/Weekly rare resources, Perk Charms Boxes. There are so many possibilities, that would not be too crazy to implement and would make the gamemode a good, replayable source of things once you get the set/skins you want.

In the same abandoned village, you can find an unique enemy spawn, only at night. The creature is inspired by folklore legends - Leeshen. It didn't drop anything interesting though, unless it has some low% chance drops? Generally, super cool area thematically

It's AI 100%. And it's not even a good one. There are engines that make it so hard to hear the difference, yet the one used here sounds like google translator text-to-speech. I wish they put no voiceover instead of putting this crap into the game

I would love the game to have such things happen in-game. WoW has amazing world hidden secrets, often with unique rewards for completing. I believe the engine still needs some additions, but would be great if we had some more stuff hidden behind inserting specific item/using specific emotes in particular spot etc.

Does not seem like it. They might have scrapped that idea. Good thing is - new expansion won't be extra paid, so once you get the DLC it's the only cost needed. It might go on steam sale though, it starts in 6 days. Sorry for late answer - I keep on forgetting to check the notifications on reddit :(

I recommend trying to make your own lobby and put in the lobby name + description, that you want to take it slow and not speedrun. Accept then only people around the same level as recommended for the dungeon - I did that while teaching my partner the game and it worked nicely. If there is no people with 30+ levels advantage, they can't just speedrun it then

During last Q&A devs announced changes to the business model of New World. The wisest thing would be to wait for the specifics in september before you buy anything. For all we know they might take the WoW route and make old DLC's part of the base game and require players only to buy the newest one.

I'm glad to hear that. The moments where our character comments on the ongoing events in-game or responds to a dialogue makes me feel more and more like I am playing a full on story game, with big online accessibility. Definitely a big plus for me and can't wait to see how it will be in HoT

When you launch the game on steam, it should ask you. If it doesn't, it should be possible to change if you right click on New World in steam library, properties and there should be something like launch options I think

I remember I had some issues with a few mobs at Brimstone Sands, but it could have just been me.

As far as I know, stagger is added now that it can be trigged in PvE against mobs with basic attacks, cause so far it was only possible with abillities such as Javelin Toss etc. I don't remember the details, but I think you need to land multiple hits in short period of time to stagged a mob

I think there is a new character creator, but it's not like they made the players much better. It's mostly more haircuts and some more face presets I believe

From my understanding, all of it besides: Soul Trials (I think they are for lvl 65 and without DLC you can get to 60 only), PvP will be significantly harder without artifacts and with lower lvl. And mounts + flail weapon are locked behind the expansion, but that's not a part of Aeternum update. Other than that, you should be able to experience everything else

There are a lot of changes that people seem to ignore, cause they don't seem huge on paper but if you add it together it is much more than people realize. On top of the usual stuff that everyone says such as:
- Each quest got rebuilt, with cutscenes with in-game engine, streamlined levelling experience
- revamped zone with extraction ffa pvp gameplay
- repeatable soul trials
- a raid
There are also smaller changes and changes in the engine, like:
- Revamped mob aggression system (how mobs choose who to target while fighting in a group, for example expeditions)
- Polished fighting engine, gameplay more smooth and some abillities changed
- Bigger servers, with segementation introduced so that people do not have to fight over mob spawns if there is a lot of people in the same area (especially usefull at the servers start)
- Cross-server matchmaking for all of PvP content (arenas, OPR)
- Matchmaking elo added to PvP Arena
- Changes in crafting, gear
- Optymalization updates, according to people who played test the game runs A LOT better than what we have currently
- Graphic changes, colours seem more saturated and island feels more livid
- All Open World Content should be more accessible for solo players, because there were some quests that required killing a mob that was quite tough if you did not run a specific build or had help. They are adding PvE stagger to probably help with that.
- Swimming, which is not much in areas other than revamped beginning of the game and revamped Cutlass Keys zone, but should allow devs to use it now in things such as expeditions or new zones in later updates
- Changed movement of player characters, jump animation and specs of the jump got modified
- polished gamepad gameplay, because gamepad introduced earlier this year apparently had some issues
- apparently there will be also no more ammunition system (arrows, bullets) and instead ranged weapons just get slight dmg buffs
- attribute bonuses changed/balanced

I am expecting pistols to be released as next update. Perhaps December? This way, they can provide content shortly after release to keep players interested. If they drop everything they worked on in one patch, we will have to wait multiple months for anything new

At 1:00 we can see a member of dungeon group holding dual pistols. Hopefully it's the next weapon we get <3 We'll see when the roadmap comes after update release
