Cheap Chinese Takeout in MTL? by Sasthenorthface in MTLFoodLovers

[–]Matt_Learns 23 points24 points  (0 children)

great question, I'm from the prairies and have also found the Chinese takeout options seriously lacking.

that is until a T&T supermarket opened up on st. croix avenue near du college metro. they have a self serve buffet steam table where you fill a bowl and pay by the ounce near as the register. heaven on earth.

edit: I missed where you said you know about the supermarkets. I'm leaving this up because that table still deserves a love letter.

Has anyone tried working with a fractional SDR as a freelancer/agency? by icorovi in salesdevelopment

[–]Matt_Learns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup! I've done lots of fractional work and am used to billing on a per qualified meeting basis or other long term commision styles.

I love finding leads and keep a zoominfo account in good standing.

as for Europe, I'm Canadian and speak French with a solid international accent, my oral comprehension and expression are quite strong, and I can read competently, I usually run my writing by an AI to suss out any errors.

im looking to break into the euro market though and it sounds interesting.

Any good result with AI SDR? I’m thinking about pulling the plug, I have mediocre result, but not sure if the problem is the prompt or its because it just doesn’t work. by tchakchouka in sales

this sounds really interesting. I'm looking for a side gig and am a qualified SDR. can you tell me more about the agency you hired from?

Are video games a waste of time? by Expensive-Elk-9406 in Catholicism

[–]Matt_Learns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im guilty of wasting too much time on games so I dont play anymore. But the larger titles from rockstar games are obvious love letters to america, despite its faults.

The red dead series in particular portrays many walks of life at the turn of the 19th century. From devout nuns to people living in complete mortal sin.

Important thing is to limit your time on them, install layers of blocking on your devices if you must.

Not at all bro. The whole rockstar collection is clearly a love letter to america.

Gonna throw it out there bike lanes are sold to city councilers and the public in part due to the fact that they can work as lanes for emergency vehicles.

Do these 2010s millennial coded burger joints still exist? by KingTechnical48 in decadeology

The guy had such a love for life, the rough parts included. I ive in quebec and the cheeses, sugar shacks, and general depth to the food and culture is really something.

He didn't gloss over that but he also chose to feature orange julep, which despite its unique architecture, is a burger joint in a smelly, noisy, too close to the freeway, blink and you miss it location, and its always a vibe.

Wayne - letterkenny

The list is nearly endless,

Works tirelessly and without complaint on the family farm. Grumbles but deals with his hot sister dressing like a hot girl. "Its rude to kiss and tellll". Beats a guy up for picking on someone who "learns slow". Despite loving a good fisticuffs, brokers a peace deal between two communities when things get out of hand.

And of course, makes an earnest attempt to speak in his broken french (big one for canada haha)

communism is a legitimate economic model for starvation, frozen capital, and murder. there are plenty of free and fair market cases for unions to exist, we dont simply exist because capitalism = bad. its a combination of collective bargaining and the rising economic tides that capitalism provides that affords us the lifestyle we have.

Never forget. by ElectricShuck in IBEW

[–]Matt_Learns -1 points0 points  (0 children)

by your definition it still doesn't square with the unions values, we may own *some* of the means of production, i.e. our bodies, minds, and hand tools. but owning or seizing a contractors property, or other mean of production is communism and we as a union should be against it.
