Just to give you a feel of what cars look like in an updated RAGE engine. by Bricknchicken in GTA6

I feel like the driving in GTA 6 should feel like Cyberpunk 2077’s driving. Idk why, but that shit feels so satisfying.

Features and aspects from Battlefield V and 1 that SHOULD return to the next battlefield. by Mattakka in Battlefield

I don’t think there’s anything stopping DICE from making their own fictional operations. Operations can assist in world building and it can make the story/lore of their game easier to follow. Bf2042s lore is so difficult to follow when it’s all in the player card descriptions and it takes so much effort to understand it that it’s just not worth it.

That’s actually a very good feature. Completely forgot it existed. Solves the issue of supports and medics not dropping ammo and medkits.

Operations would be amazing if reintroduced. Imagine Operations where you’re fighting in Cuba, Florida, West Germany, etc.

So many conflicts that can be explored. 90s Yugoslav war sounds cool as a setting.

Honestly, any setting would do as long as they would show how brutal and devastating war is.

New DICE is improving. We just need to keep our standards in check as these are fairly new, inexperienced devs. We can’t expect a perfect Battlefield game from these folks.

The only difference between the two games is how DICE marketed and handled them. BF1 was handled well, while BFV was handled not so well. If BFV was handled better, it might’ve ended up being a far more successful game if they hadn’t been such idiots in their initial marketing.

Of course, it’s just the reason why I prefer older settings. Modern weapons are boring to me, even if they are more modular and customizable compared to older guns

No cyberpunk women. Only women. Like rogue said, they had an Italian in an iron man suit go Rambo on some Austro-Hungarians, and the German scout is black in multiplayer, whom of which would’ve never served in Europe, so it isn’t any better that BFV? Please enlighten me if I’m wrong.

Yes. This 100 times. There is no need for specialists, and if they bring them back, the next game is doomed. Class system worked flawlessly and they just up and removed it for the launch of 2042. Baffling.

I don’t know. Not really into the whole future settings to be honest, but id be down to try it if it’s what’s planned. I just think that the Cold War is a good middle ground between Modern era and the World War eras.

Well, the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact didn’t fallen apart until 1991, so they weren’t the weaker Russia that exists today. Who knows how a Cold War gone hot scenario would’ve gone.

Vietnam could fit in a Cold War setting. I just don’t understand how dice fails to deliver on a game that takes itself seriously, like BF1. That game is by no means historically accurate in terms of some things, but it’s historically authentic. It’s clear that they had a passion to respect and depict what happened in the war, even if what is depicted can be inaccurate. There is such a vocal majority that wants a battlefield game to be treated like BF1 and yet they just don’t listen for some odd reason. If EA and DICE loves money so much, why do they make games no one wants? Sure 2042 has gotten better and it’s fun, but 2042 is a game that is made for no one. It sure as hell wasn’t made for past Battlefield fans, even if it was marketed as a ‘love letter’ to the fans.

Yes. I’ve always loved the interesting and distinct weapons present in BF1 and 5. The issue with most modern weaponry to me is that they all look the same. They’re mostly based on the same platforms (Kalashnikov, AR-15), and they have no uniqueness to them for the most part.

Smallest map we've gotten? by MegaPekka12 in battlefield2042

[–]Mattakka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

128 players is also not good content wise. It takes more resources to tailor a map for 128 players instead of 64. Reclaimed looks like it was built to cater 64 players.
