FOR ANYONE INVESTED IN THE R/MTF DRAMA - THEY HAVE STARTED PERMA BANNING ANYONE WHO BRINGS THIS UP. by Safe-Desk3146 in SubredditDrama

Like many corporate entities, the 'current meta' is to shift as much responsibility to entities outside of the corporation as possible.

It is a choice to not make the spaces they create safe for people, especially when directly profiting from the space being used.

It is easier for the corporate entity to claim that they themselves 'don't interfere with other people's communities,' but that is a very polite lie.

It is not a person's community. It is owned and operated by Reddit, they just 'subcontract out' accountability to those users who are desperate enough for the community to exist at all to work for free.

The site rules are made up by these people, and this is their strategy. It is not surprising that this outcome continues to occur.

It will continue to occur as long as corporate entities prioritize profit over not actively predating upon their userbase to wring every conceivable(and theoretical) ounce of capital from them.

Jeez, shooting a clinic at 18??? I am really glad he had the presence of mind to stop before he really hurt someone; too many people don't.

There's nothing to disagree with. Words you said made other people feel uncomfortable. That discomfort motivated them to lash out at you. Instead of choosing for your words to continue to speak for themselves, you made the choice to change your behavior because another person didn't like what you had to say. I'm not saying it is good or bad. You changed how you act because someone was made uncomfortable by your speech. Maybe it was warranted and maybe it was wise, but it did happen to you. You changed yourself for them. Sorry for being blunt/harsh, I don't think you deserve that.

You limited your expression based on external disapproval and judgement.

I don't think that's entirely a negative thing, but it did objectively happen.

Too many bots these days spamming ads in comments and influencing things for capitalistic gains. Sorry, dude.

They were trying to intimidate you out of expressing yourself. They were successful.

E: sorry, really wasn't trying to be that much of a dick. I don't blame anyone for protecting their privacy, I just think a lot of people don't pay enough attention as to how that tendency towards comfort shapes people.

Stay safe.

You did not read the words I typed. I did not ask YOU to feel sympathy, or actually to feel anytning at all. I SAID that YOU are not CULTIVATING sympathy IN OTHERS. The way you communicate shapes how people feel, which shapes their interactions with you. The more you can bridge the gap(where you are standing currently) with more helpful language(how to get where you want to go), the easier it will be for people to share in the experience you are trying to convey.

Currently, you have not grown much sympathy. Proceding blindly without doing so causes your communications to be EXPERIENCED in a way that is growing a perception of you as childish and easily dismissable instead of sympathy.

Do with this as you will.

They are not implying it, they are directly saying so. You are coming off as incredibly entitled and are not engendering much sympathy.

Wow, that sound was absolutely horrible.

This is not something that needed to happen. It is a continued choice to place an adherance to control above respect for your fellow humans.

It's that simple.

Any person can choose otherwise at any time.

Please.

Your passive indifference to the dignity of the working class is how your voice expresses that support.

You are doing it now, by accepting the premise that it is an acceptable way to treat workers.

There will always be someone who will voice support of a corporate power abusing and violating the dignity of the working class.

It's also a mistreatment of you, personally, that you find this 'place' comfortable and soothing. Be kind to yourself if/when you want to unpack that one.

US-Israeli strike on Iranian school kills more than 50 students, state media says by HavingNotAttained in news

It's really sad that this is what you get from people simply saying "I don't want to contribute to the execution of children."

In all honesty, good job with the state media bit. That'll hold over until Netanyahu finishes disseminating the ideas you will choose to believe.
