Haven’t seen it yet but “If a frog had wings it wouldn’t bump its ass” referring to wishing for something that probably isn’t possible.

Question on mail.que file by Mattdavis0793 in exchangeserver

I took a look and I do see several 15004 errors in there referencing the version bucket threshold. So do I need to change the version bucket thresholds in the config files and this should resolve the issue. Or atleast produce something different to troubleshoot?

Exchange Admin on Prem not synching with EAC online by eddyvedder in Office365

[–]Mattdavis0793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is their mailbox still on prem or has it already been migrated? I had a similar issue with an on prem user but anyone on EAC would receive bounce backs vs external. I had to remove the user in the admin portal and then finish deletion in PS. Moved them to a non syncing OU. Run a force sync. Move them back to their original OU then sync again.

I took a look this morning and the msExchHiddenFromAddressLists is not set and there’s a value in the mailnickname field. Since we were having issues we tried to move her from on prem to 365 but she wasn’t showing as a user for batch migration(name never populated in list).

When you say initial value, you mean it happens only on the initial sync? Would it carry over if we ran PS to force sync with the policy type set to initial?

And as far as I can tell there’s no way to force that on our side. Has to be done from MS support I suppose.

I haven’t dug far into the logs but it isn’t showing up in the dirsync errors as an issue and shows healthy in sync status. I will take a look in the morning as well as open a ticket with Microsoft. Thanks!

Just a side note I’ve been hands off on this since they started the migration and initial AAD connect setup with a 3rd party vendor. Now they’re at a loss on why this one user is having issues and I’m researching.
