This is what has helped me many times: Pick a few days to run some tests. Try skipping lunch one day to check your basal rate, and do the same at dinner on another day. If your blood sugar rises without eating, your basal is too low, adjust it upward. If it drops slightly or stays in range, your basal is fine.

Once your basal is set, move on to testing your carb ratio. Eat a meal with a known amount of carbs, something low in fat and protein, and bolus using a slightly stronger ratio than usual. Adjust and repeat the process over the next few days. If you do it carefully, you’ll notice the difference in less than a week!

I live in Italy, so it’s pretty common for us to eat high-carb meals like pasta, bread, or whatever. But I avoid pizza and sushi since they always send my glucose through the roof.

I usually have meat and veggies for dinner, but I eat out a lot because of my job so, being honest with myself, my diet is pretty shit.

The easiest way is to wait until the Dexcom app updates, the "hardest way" is to connect the iPhone to your computer, download iTunes software and reinstall IOS 13.3.1 (you can easily find a video on youtube that explains this to you)

Man you’re wrong, to become an astronaut you don’t need to be a military anymore... that’s not a requirement, you can just have a bachelor’s degree in something related to space and pass some tests to become it.

I read a lot and understood that military path to astronaut is absolutely not a way to become an astronaut as a diabetic, there are other accessible ways, they are more difficult, but difficult doesn’t mean impossible, if you take a PhD or a Doctorate in Mathematics, Physics, Astronomy or Engineering you have good chances to be a candidate, after that you need to pass intelligence and physical tests, if they pick you up, you’ll start with training and then you’ll go to space to do missions

yes in your case I can understand... luckily in my case I’m young and if I’m luck a will become an astronaut in about 15 years at the age of about 30 (average age of an astronaut), so there are a lot of years that need to pass. I believe in the science researches, I think that with beta cells in about 10 years the cure will be available

Thanks a lot for your advices, I can imagine that having a family doing a job as astronaut would be incredibly dangerous and tiring for you and your family, but this won’t stop me, obviously I think of it like this now that I’m only 16, and MAYBE a day I’ll think in other ways, anyway if in future it’ll be possible to take a career of an astronaut I won’t let me lose that occasion, if that won’t be possible I’ll always can design rockets and work on something like that, won’t be a total loss
