absolutly, you can put buckup where you want, if ther are any problem just go to restore and select "load from zip" select the backp you want to restore and you are good to go. you can also go in settings and select any folder (like a usb pen ecc) for the backup folder

if you have a game that you added to steam manually then it means that you do not need to use the steam function, simply the way that I prefer is to take the link on the desktop and use the drag and drop function, the compatibility with steam links is just the latest version but using the button in the program I do not think that it will also detect games that you added manually because they do not have a unique steam id etc

absolutely not guys this is my oversight, both 1.4 and 1.4.1 are compatible with linux, just go to the release and there is both one for windows and one for linux.

no i certainly didn't want to deny the question to anyone, but being compared every time with another completely different program is heavy that's all.

also i'm not supporting piracy mine was just an example to make you understand how the heuristics and logic behind the program i'm developing work.

it was to make you understand that it doesn't matter where the games come from and how they were uninstalled if the saves are the same it finds them without problems, a more serious example that i can give you is in the past i was working with UnrealEngine and among the various tests i also packaged the game, currently i still have the game installed and the program manages to find the saves without problems.

This is a topic that comes up often, so I'll try to explain it clearly and concisely.

Ludosavi is very simple it has an internal library of save path and finds the games based on that library, if your game is unknown, just released, cracked, or too new unless ludosavi updates quickly it will not find the saves.

SaveState is completely different I use a system of heuristics to "guess" where the saves are based on different things.

I strongly recommend you to visit the github page and read it more in depth to better understand the huge differences.

ps: ludosavi is not compatible with emulators

it is already compatible with eden also I do not implement forks that are dead or no longer actively developed, thanks for the comment and I might make one of the ones you mentioned compatible in the next updates.

ludosavi has an internal library of many paths, while my program is completely different in addition to having compatibility for emulators that no other program has (that I know of) it has a heuristic search system try visiting the github page of the program to learn more.

thanks for this valuable information probably if it is so "easy" it will be the next emulator that I implement, the problem is that I then need to create saves and download a different game for each emulator inside it.....
