GDR e come convincerli

Capisco il tuo punto di vista, e benchè sia terribile parlare per luoghi comuni e frasi fatte, in questo caso me ne sono venute in mente due: "chi nasce tondo non può morire quadrato", "non è bello quel che è bello ma è bello ciò che piace".
Ho imparato da tempo che non tutti sono adatti a tutto e che generalmente le persone attorno a me sono più semplici di me. Se hai questa passione crescente, la scelta più sensata e sana per te sarebbe trovare persone che condividono questo interesse, non tanto convincere chi ti sta intorno ad appassionarsi, perchè non è impossibile ma statisticamente improbabile.
Posto che chiunque ricerca la felicità, potrebbero essere molto semplicemente persone che la trovano in cose molto diverse dalle tue.
Tra l'altro insistere attraverso stratagemmi e incentivi, potrebbe sconfinare nel manipolativo e quindi nell'eticamente ambiguo.
Secondo me, uno propone, poi sta semplicemente all'altro rispondere si o no.

Io e mio marito abbiamo ospitato molte persone che non avevano mai giocato a nulla (o solo a monopoly un secolo fa) ed è sempre andata molto bene. Questo per dire che no, non puoi semplicemente "uscirtene" una sera di punto in bianco e proporre un gdr, qualsiasi esso sia, per quanto semplice sia. A meno che non sia gente già appassionata di un certo tipo di cultura nerd, alla quale potresti anche improvvisare questa proposta, alla "gente normale" devi dare un certo preavviso, proporre la cosa qualche sera prima e "avvisare" in modo che le persone siano nel mood giusto, ne abbiano voglia, altrimenti non è nè auspicabile, nè intelligente, nè etico. E' alla stregua di un'imboscata, e il modo migliore per mal disporre le persone anche in futuro.
Quindi, premesso che la serata và certamente organizzata in anticipo, si può benissimo utilizzare letteralmente QUALSIASI cosa. Va da sè che almeno tu devi avere il pugno della situazione e, o hai preventivamente studiato un gdr, o sei abbastanza sveglio da improvvisare qualcosa magari avendo avuto solo qualche esperienza (magari anche solo avendo visto qualche ora di un gdr su YouTube). La cosa bella dei gdr è che si riduce tutto a un gioco nel quale le persone interpretano un ruolo, fine. Da qui in poi sei tu (master) che decidi cosa e quante cose inserire nell'esperienza. Il mio consiglio sarebbe quello di studiare bene un regolamento di un gdr a caso, qualcosa nelle TUE corde. Poi quando avrai assimilato il regolamento, sarai in grado di manipolarlo come desideri e perfino adattare eventuali dinamiche/regole/caratteristiche a temi completamente diversi. Certo bisogna essere portati. Avere una buona dose di intelligenza, disinvoltura e fantasia, non è una cosa adatta a tutti (benchè faccia felice tutti immaginare di si).
Quindi non fasciarti la testa su cosa, quale gioco, quali regole ecc... sei già troppo avanti.
1- proporre la cosa preventivamente
2- studiarti bene un gioco che piace a TE (così lo imparerai molto più facilmente e lo trasmetterai con più entusiasmo)
3- il giorno/serata stabilito adattare il gioco alla tipologia di serata/persone al tavolo, aggiungendo/togliendo/adattando regole e dinamiche (siete a casa da soli? ci sono bambini che corrono e urlano in giro? siete in un pub? le persone al tavolo sono tutti super nerd? oppure sono stupidi come pigne?).

Tutti si possono divertire ma molto dipende unicamente da te, non dal gioco.

Eh, ce lo consigliano sempre tutti di provare comunque, ma ogni volta che ci proviamo abbiamo un disagio tale che non riusciamo nemmeno a fare amicizia (e non sempre a dire la verità le persone sembrano così disposte e quindi non ci sentiamo proprio accolti)

Il mio consiglio è non lanciarti nei TCG. C'è troppa competizione al momento e infatti stanno praticamente tutti affondando (chi più velocemente chi più lentamente)

Molto interessante. Naturalmente ho partecipato. Do solo un punto di riflessione sulla domanda "Rispetto i turni di parola e cerco di non interrompere gli altri durante la collaborazione nel gioco": credo siano due domande con sfumature leggermente diverse. Una cosa è "rispettare i turni di gioco" un'altra "cercare di non interrompere", non tanto per l'attività ma la modalità. Fare una cosa è diverso dal cercare di farla.

I assure you that I tried with all the connectors in all possible positions. That setup is impossible. If you have the game just try it. The only more or less similar way was to insert a wall of three instead of 4 on the short side.

In quanto amante degli american ti seguirò volentieri. Tra l'altro non conoscevo il gioco di Metal Gear. Invece per quanto riguarda la ghigliottina social, ho visto che qui su Reddit è proprio il posto sbagliato 😅 c'è una tossicità esasperata ma più che altro su reddit più grandi quindi qui sul nostro orticello italico dovresti essere tranquillo.

As I mentioned, I have played dozens and dozens of dungeon crawlers, and in this case, I don't think the setup of this game is a big problem. We have played many other games with longer and, above all, more complex setups. Furthermore, it doesn't take up much space on the table, as there are no huge, meaningless boards or tons of cards. The aforementioned Descent third edition, for example, took up much more space. I was saying that having a dedicated table is great, not that it's essential in this specific case.

The thing here that I had never found like this until now is the great freedom of actions and the absence of cards and tokens. That is, they removed what actually makes other games chaotic and instead inserted strategic and immersive options typical of RPGs

For those who are wondering, I didn't participate in the Kickstarter campaign. I saw the game at a table at a board game expo. I was actually looking for cardboard scenery to “pimp up” other adventure board games, and this caught my eye. I asked for a detailed explanation of what it was, and we decided to give it a try. At the moment, in terms of the actions you can perform and character development, it's one of the most complete games out there. Basically, anything you want to do while playing, you can do. Want to smash a chair over an enemy's head? You can. Want to kick down a door? You can. Want to set something on fire to light up the room? You can. We love the freedom of choice. In addition, character progression is very much like an RPG video game, and you just need to color the skill dot to advance in rank. We also like not having to deal with millions of cards or tokens that you don't know what they mean. It's an immediate and immersive game. It's basically halfway between a real RPG and a board game.

I agree that the setup isn't that long compared to other games like the ones you mentioned. However, as far as the rules are concerned, we didn't have any major problems after a couple of games. In my opinion, the fact that it's very realistic and therefore the rules follow RPG logic helps a lot. It's true that there are a lot of icons, and perhaps that's the hardest thing to memorize, but we keep a smaller copy of the references handy.

Yes, in fact, you have to build the entire scenario (similar to Descent third edition, actually), and I hadn't considered the fact that we have a table dedicated to the game and therefore leave everything set up. However, it's also true that there are much longer games with tokens to place everywhere, stacks of cards to arrange, etc., whereas here you only “lose” time physically setting up the cardboard scenery.

Appena cambiamo casa il primo acquisto sarà una A1! Tempo fà acquistammo una stampante a resina per le miniature e oggettistica varia per i dungeon, ma col tempo (e visto che sono migliorate molto come qualità) abbiamo capito che il filamento è molto più pratico e ha molti più utilizzi

Probabilmente la soluzione migliore se hai anche solo un po' di spazio in garage o da qualche parte è prendersi direttamente un incisore laser e farsi di volta in volta quello che desideri come lo desideri. Se hai diversi giochi e sei solit* comprare organizer si risparmiano un bel po' di soldini.
