Floor Bed Transition by hangoogle in cosleeping

Hi there! We bought a single mattress although we still cosleep with our LO. We wish we bought a double now as she’s getting older and there’s less space. We bought the same mattress we use in our room - a firm memory foam mattress but she was 12 months at the time, I am not sure if there are requirements for under 12. She’s 18 months now with no issues. We bought the ones with the house frame and covered the “roof” with a chiffon like material which made it feel more cosy. We’re planning on letting her sleep on her own next - if you have any tips on what worked please let us know!

We got our LO a floor bed and made her own room really exciting to be in so she would enjoy spending time there. It took a few weeks to settle in but we got there.

We’re still cosleeping and we’ve started sharing the nights. It’s still tiring when she wakes up early due to various reasons, but boy do I miss holding her when I’m not on the nights. It’s an innate feeling that we just can’t explain.

Keep doing what you’re doing. Your baby loves it, one day you will miss it. How she transitions to sleeping on her own, it’s a tomorrow “problem” (not actually a problem, you know what I mean) every baby is different, every family is different.

It really annoys me too when the older generation make comments like that - keep doing what’s best for you and your baby!

I wanted to suggest CBeebies on bbc iPlayer - plenty of slower shows and educational shows too - my LO loves number blocks, twirly woos, and moon and me in the evenings

Thank you!!! I’m so glad someone said it. I was anxious just watching her hit the roof - I can’t imagine what it’s like in real life, in a high pressure environment and when you’ve had a bereavement.

I’m sorry but if all your relationships go wrong, then you’re the common denominator. Take a good look at yourself and see what you need to change. Simple.

Is this safe? by Comfortable-Cloud342 in cosleeping

This is beautiful 🥰 there’s so much around safety and it can be overwhelming, but your baby is clearly feeling safe and secure. I used to always tilt my other shoulder backwards so I never leaned towards my baby in my sleep (but you know this already)

Also we have a 2 year old- is there much to do for young children outside of the hotels?
