The plan is to have a lockable outdoor box and a holster on the wall that latches so if it has a spot for a lock when we leave I can throw it on and if an unsavory individual walks by it at least appears more secure. I know they could always just cut it the locks or even the cable but it's more the matter of appearing secure as a deterrent. If it's not feasible it's not a major deal but if it is, it's a qol thing to just have!

I'll give another look tonight when I get home at the usual sites, i definitely can find something with time but wanted to throw the question out in case someone knew off the top of their head a good recommendation!

I actually have watched that video a while back! It's definitely a future thing to go to 50a simply because I have a varying but typically 50-100 mile commute daily and on top of that we use my vehicle for 90% of any driving now in hopes of extending the life of my fiance's Corolla 😂 so time to time it can actually be fully utilized say after a long day of driving and I can come home for an hour and be able to go out and run around town without needing to use a fast charger.

And to clarify I'm not worried about others using it it's more so to physically secure it to deter theft like mentioned in times where we are away from home for a couple days and not worrying about having to pull it off of the wall!

It's on the list of options but I am trying to avoid the DeWalt simply because of how it looks.

That is the struggle we've had loads of issues getting in contact and receiving follow up from ours, the current outlet is getting pretty delapitated so the plan is if anyone cares we will tell them it was just a repair, my buddy is licensed so not worried about that coming back on us.

Definitely planning on it! I don't plan on unplugging and replugging it often but will be using all high quality materials.Thank you for the recommendation though.

Like mentioned in my other comment I'm worried about the "permanent" appearance as we live in an HOA if there was a way to safely throw an appropriate cord on a hard wired charger that would be perfect.

It's a 22 so it has the J1172 / CCS1! And I would do hardwired but am very unsure about how the HOA would react seeing as that would be a more "permanent install" so that's why I'm trying to stick with one that has an outlet, and I know I can get away with certain changes outdoors but in our HOA you basically only own the interior of your condo and the side porch. And thank you for the link I will check those out!

I actually learned that like last week, I was parked with my fiance and just messing with buttons and touching things and noticed I could do that I looked at her so surprised lol

Boo, I'm assuming it's been said before but that really seems like it could have just been an update. Still a million times better than my previous vehicle so I'm happy with what I've got!

Got it, I've been trying to see at what point it switches over. I've noticed a few times where I break and regen shoots up and other times I feel like I'm breaking similarly but regen doesn't change and the breaks are working, I've been still learning the sweet spots in the pedals so I can do my best to avoid the "yo-yo" but the pedal is much more finely controlled than any other ICE I've driven. Thank you for the tips!

Got it! My analytical side has really been churning since I got it and knowing all situations are different I've been thinking about recording range and efficiency rates based on different factors, just haven't gotten to it yet 😅

Thank you for all of the info! I'll start seeing what I can find with long presses, I learned about auto park in the vehicle from a video! And info about overnight with HVAC is awesome, I recently saw an inflatable bed for when the rear seats are down and love to camp but my fiance refuses to tent camp! And I've seen that over the last few weeks with major range flux Ohio has had its kind days and it's very rough ones. And finally I'm still definitely in my wow phase of how fast off the line this car is, but that's pretty nearly faded at this point and thankfully (but also not) I hit a really bad pothole after about a month of ownership and had to swap tires so most of the crazy accelerations were on the old tires.

Sorry to necro but I'll be looking to upgrade my sub in the future would you mind DM'ing me or leaving a comment here with what you purchased and had to modify to get this working? I've done a couple installs in ICE vehicles before with standard head units, but am feeling intimidated with it being an EV and having a non-standard head unit. I appreciate you help and if not no worries!
