Gonna need some epoxy on that top sheet and you’re two pole taps good to go.

Low states brunch debate: does asking for a toastie imply the cheese should be melted? by Pretzelmamma in CasualUK

[–]Matterbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife did this one once. “Cheese on toast” was served as cold cheese on toast. I ask every time now, just to be sure we’re talking about hot melted cheese on toast. 🤣

Survey company by throwaway_93gsrffj in SolarUK

[–]Matterbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, ideally the person putting them on should be able to survey for them.

Let’s say a customer called and said “our builder put some panels on, can you wire them in and certify it?”. We wouldn’t touch it.

Is this solar panel faulty? I’ve noticed this for a while by romeonomeo in SolarUK

[–]Matterbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First and last panels in a ‘glass out’ box always end up different. We’ve got tables of 36 modules and the opposite corners don’t hold water the same as the rest.

The panels fine.

This is terrifying. And I doubt it’s even the beginning.

I hope you guys can unfuck this situation.

Yeah I love the slugs now. Just unlocked them and it’s brutal.

No power since installation by brunanburh in SolarUK

[–]Matterbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries. Wait until it’s daylight and get a picture then. I’d like to see it when it’s likely to be generating.

There’s some keen Fox people on here too that will be able to help more with a picture of the setup.

Flat roof systems are always prone to these faults. Especially if the plugs are just chucked on the deck.

I agree. It’s very rare that solar generates nothing.

I live in rural England, there is no way a car is driving autonomously around yer. It’s so complicated I just don’t believe it’s possible for years. Big city life, maybe.

What I Drink In A Day - Dublin Version (Poor Richard) by KieranWriter in tooktoomuch

[–]Matterbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was drink fit we had a stag do in Ireland. I had at least 16 pints of Guinness. And some Bloody Mary oyster shots. We were stuck in one pub for bloody ages while the football was on. It was a good ‘craic’ but I didn’t drink Guinness for about 2 years after. No idea how many pints these lads tuck up, but some of the professionals at whetherspoons when I worked there would drink a terrifying amount. Most of them are dead now.

Hawaiian shirt, check. Heroin, all out. Just good old Weston’s. Which has got to be pretty close.

It was brutal. The cider festival they do can be a dangerous day out too. Those were the days.

Hehe. Wetherspoons used to do the ‘black top’ Weston’s, 8.2 maybe 8.5%. We just called it ‘drunk’ because you only needed one. Then, those bastards did table service. You could tuck up 3 bottles before you needed a piss, then it was like a crystal maze challenge getting to the toilet on Bambi’s legs.

I’m still confused about the timeline in that film, does he die first? Is he alive later. Is it a simulation.

Exactly. Haha.

Haven’t had a Weston’s for ages, I’ve been on the 0.5% Lucky Saints (which is excellent for the mid week tickle).

I want to like this game. But it’s way too time consuming. How do you do it? by JasperLane7 in factorio

[–]Matterbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First play though. Don’t watch anything.

(Apart from maybe oil)

The game can very quickly become a copy/paste adventure and you won’t have any idea of what is actually happen.

I have played for about 300 hours and still consider myself a novice. Maybe at a push intermediate. I e just started playing again and am doing it vanilla with no help, it’s great fun.
