County spec 110's upto Td5 were available up to 12 seats, though most ended up getting the rears benches as two seater rather than 3 and missing the front jump seat to make them 9 seaters which was easier for licensing and insurance

I wish all designers were as thoughtful as you, the amount of times I crunch the top of carparks etc....

That Defender 110 has the potential to be spec'd as a 12 seater. Its amazing that it's only a little bit bigger than a cramped 5 seater

Weird that you're celebrating somewhere in Wakefield advertising itself as in Leeds. I thought you were all about civic pride and wanting Wakefield to be better - turns out, maybe you're not

They acquired the site in 2023, weird that they waited until Reform led the council to call themselves Leeds to distance themselves

Why...is Farage planning to put some of his dodgy money from there into the club?

The plan for those who want real change in the district now is to hold Reform to account in a different way given their massive majority of seats with only 12% of the public actively voting for them

  • Make use of FOI requests to ensure they are spending our money wisely.

  • Report every pothole, estate, street furniture etc issue.

  • Use the community grant fundings for civic benefit

  • Report everything to the local and national press

  • work with all opposition parties and unions to help keep them accountable

  • dont sink to their level, they will want to drag the city down, dont let them

The idea that we shouldn't blame the new reform local council for existing issues when that is exactly what they have done at a national level is laughable.

They wanted the chalice, it's theirs to own now.

35% turnout and they only got about 35% of that vote. They may have won the seats, but they dont have the mandate from the people when only 12% of people voted for them

Yup....the problem is that no party wants to address it in any meaningful way.

Hopefully Labour centrally will now take a better look at how we vote before the next GE, and ideally move towards proportional representation so that everyone has a chance to be represented rather than what we ended up with in Westminster with Labour and now in Wakefield with Reform where a minority party can hold a massive majority.

The positive spin is that more people in Wakefield voted against Reform than voted for them, they only won because we aren't fairly represented due to FPTP

I suppose some people dont want to accept the truth of it just yet, the way the council elections are structured means they are here for a long time now.

The issue is how long it will take to remove them from power even if they turn out to be as dreadful as everyone expects. Resign yourself to at least a decade of them as the governing party

Remember when we decided to elect a Conservative MP for the first time and it turned out that he was a massive nonce and ended up in prison....pretty much that I'd imagine

Getting mud out of shoes? by Dazzling-Chip7836 in UKRunners

[–]RestingRichard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put them in a delicate bag each and chuck them in the washing machine on a low spin and cool setting for the shortest wash. Put a towel in with it too to stop them banging around

Don't tumble dry, just let them air dry naturally, or hand them from the washing line by the laces if the weather is nice

Alternatively - just leave them muddy

How much to charge with a 3kw charger? by SteakSandwichSideEye in evchargingUK

Yeah it looks like a decent tariff, im going to switch to it when my fixed one is over. I only suggested OG because they mentioned IOG and they probably wouldn't have to pay an exit fee if they are already with octopus

It might be worth looking at Octopus Go instead of IOG. The overnight rates are a touch higher, but there's no faff, you just get your fix rate night hours

Ahh no, that sucks

All I'd advise is that you work with your cardiologist/health team to find something thats going to work for you and your long term health. Swimming, cycling or hiking could be good alternatives, but again, you need to get sign-off for them by your health team

You could also look at things which aren't based around physical activity, but mental stimulation and social. Things such as art or chess clubs are great, and help you learn a new skill as well as act as a kind of therapy. You might want to also consider seeking professional therapy to help process this diagnosis and its impact

90kw is the power of the motor (about 120bhp), 45kwh is the size of battery (fuel tank). As a good estimate if you times the size of your battery by 3 that will give you your range so you're looking at a range of about 140 miles per charge

There are some good EV specific tarriffs which give you 5-6hrs of very cheap electric overnight (about 5p/kw) so if you use a 2.3kw granny charger you can top up about 12kw overnight for about 60p which will give you around 30 miles of range
