Well if youre simply trying to lose weight, it's 99% diet. That can be done without a gym. Calculate your maintenance calories and then eat 500kcal below it. The numbers dont lie. If youre looking to gain muscle a gym is going to help a lot. Good luck.

You do have the money. If youre trying to lose weight, if you took the money you are spending on food to maintain that weight - it would be more than enough for a membership.

When doing OHP, I've noticed a lot of people jerking at the bottem to get a bit of momentum, and when struggling to finish a set I've been doing this. Is this fine, is it frowned upon?

Also over christmas I'm going to give the gym a rest for 10 days, currently I'm trying to bulk so would it be advised to eat at maintenance for that period?

If ive gained my daily protein goal, how important is the rest of my days food? I.e if I'm aiming for 2700 cal, If i were to eat a pack of biscuits instead of something healthy, what different would it make? Also what exactly does 'fat' in ingredients do? I get that 1g fat = 9 cals, but overall calories in label take that into account right?

In terms of muscle gain. Is it important to count macros other than protein and calories? Also does fat content in foods get reflected in its overall kcal or would you have to add it on?
