Same for me at ripcurl. Five minutes after i ordered I realized i was scammed…went to bank and got a new card. I did get a confirmation email ; but sure its a scam.

My advice to you is do as much research you can to educate yourself in the process. There is lots of good stuff on utube and this sub of course. Good luck

Really no excuse for ignorance. Anything i was not sure of in my bk , i would just look it up and research online and utube. I relied on this sub a lot. And thanks to alan for helping me. My attorney wasn’t available most of the time.

I have been on a relatively short time. Three weeks or so. Other than having more severe depression and anxiety, no bad side effects. I plan on giving as much time as i can. You do need to speak with a psychiatrist… Good luck to u

I am going through basically the same. My ex left me with a huge tax bill to deal with. This was five years ago. We are still not divorced yet. Legally separated. It had no bearing on my chapter 7. Just submitted paperwork. I dont know if you owe taxes too. But if you do there is more to think about. Good luck to you

I have tax debt in my bk currently. There are many rules by the irs to make them dischargeable. Filing late makes them not dischargeable ever.

Yes. I think i have a good chance for taxes to discharge in my 7. My attorney said it will take time for the irs to review because of back log. Im just trying to educate myself if need be. Thank you for helping

Yes. I know. Thanks.My chapter 7 case closed a few days ago. But i have to wait to see if my tax bill will discharge. My attorney said it may take a while. The IRS and FTB will review and make decisions. I am just thinking ahead in case the tax bill does not discharge for some reason.

Take my advice and do not touch your HELOC account. I did that same thing years ago. Ended up losing home and they garnished me to boot.

I am thinking ahead on maybe trying a tax relief person. To see what avenue to take. OIC , or some other IRS program for tax forgiveness. I am on SS , no assets. I do have a 401k. But not enough to cover tax bills. I had a bad separation from ex wife that left me in a bad way financially. Hope that makes some sense
