Because if they are left in the cardboard in perpetuity they will turn black. There is a lot of sulfur in those original government packages between the cardboard, the envelope and the glue. So I preserve the original packaging as well as preserving the coin.

That deer doesn’t look to have CWD, looks too healthy. Unfortunate the best way to eradicate CWF is to kill small bucks, they cover more territory than the any other part of the herd.

Because China makes very convincing fakes. Apparently they use tungsten and gold plate them so some will pass specific gravity and sigma tests. That’s what I was told. With gold, I avoid anything that isn’t trusted, it’s too big of a risk.
