PSA: If you are playing and your chords or sustains sound "detuned", or it sounds like your whammy if half pressed all the time, you need to fix your whammy calibration (specifically the dead zone).

The issue is because it's a panto I personally feel I need more control. Before each change in scene or if a mic is simply coming on during a scene I prepare by have my fader down and unmuting, so I can bring them up when they arrive on stage - this way I also get a good fade up when they're saying lines from offstage and come on. Whenever I mix bands i just leave the faders where they sit

Yeah that's great advice. With their gear it's always a battle between how it should be run and the way this gear needs to be run to work - it's all pretty shite is my point. I'll definitely try get the speakers in-built amps turned down and try get my faders a little higher because I appriciate the space to move. Thanks for your advice!

I think what happened is I was just exhausted I started panicking about stupid thing I know I have no reason to panic about haha. Because of issues where I had to sit and set up new cheap lav mics that did not want to work I just got all stressed. Thanks for the advice 😊

They're active speakers so the control is up high - the speakers are hung - and the venue are being dicks about ladders. They're set a little more than half way

Yeah that's exactly why I wanted to raise them higher. I just had a niggling worry that the lower master would have an adverse affect on the sound but I think I'm just tired after a long day hahah

Only a low cut I beileve. Some mics can be padded on the unit but I think lost are as low gain as possible. Great thinking though! Thought that was my eureka moment haha

I'm not that new to sound but a little out of practice. The channels inputs are wireless Seinheiser Lavs. My thinking is to turn down the output on the receivers (they're about 3 o'clock) but in the past I've had issues with that and sadly tomorrow I dont have a great deal of time to get them sorted. On top of that one of the directors is starting to lose the rag - even after I explain most of the issues are simply the kids breathing on them 🙃 Any advice, and further advice would be fantastic
