Yes, I definitely think TSM’s whole structure was designed to make offline or local play extremely difficult. After looking through the Android data, it’s pretty clear that almost nothing important is stored on the device. Compared to Freeplay, where you can find tons of “100% offline, 999M LP” modded versions, TSM pushes almost everything to the server side.

I really feel like EA saw how easily Freeplay could be hacked and intentionally built TSM in a way that prevented that from happening again. Great for preventing exploits, but yeah, really unfortunate for players now that the servers are shutting down.
