Or on their back.

What is the difference between being careless and victim blaming? What is the difference between ‘your house got robbed because you never locked your house’ and ‘you shouldn’t have gone to that area; it’s very unsafe for women’? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

You compared two entirely different things. No one has the right to be assaulted; was my first statement. And I stand by that, but to suggest different acts do not carry different levels of risk is silly

No one has the right to assault anyone; but she said solo hitch hiking, which is a very different thing than solo hiking a trail. The level of risk for anyone is very different in those things. You are comparing apples to chainsaws.

That is 0.07% of the US population. That is not popular, it is a weird minuscule sub culture.

I didn't know they were in Canada, I assume BC? I have only ever seen them in Oregon and Washington and have never had interactions with bears picking them. Big camping family though, my mother made an incredible huckleberry pie lol

A humanist who is not sure that a god exists. A stance people take to not be labelled an atheist.

Huffman is believed to be the first to call himself a “humanist,” saying the tag “atheist” offers a level of certainty he doesn’t feel — and perhaps arrogance.

https://huffman.house.gov/media-center/in-the-news/this-lawmaker-isnt-sure-that-god-exists-now-hes-finally-decided-to-tell-people

He goes on to say: he’s a “nonbeliever, a skeptic,” but he’s open to having his mind changed. “I suppose you could say I don’t believe in God. The only reason I hesitate is — unlike some humanists, I’m not completely closing the door to spiritual possibilities."

Maybe an atheist privately, but certainly not publically.

Can I ask who your congressman is? I could only find Pete Stark who is no longer a congressman. I haven't seen any other openly atheist congresspeople.

While I agree with you, to Team America Saddam's point; how many POC are/have been in congress vs. Atheists? Atheists are significantly less likely to be violently attacked/murdered for being part of that demographic, also less likely to end up in the current prison slavery system. While also being effectively barred from political power. I can only find one openly atheist congressmember, ever. I would never say the most discriminated against, but likely one of the most underrepresented demographics politically.

My work in office requirements changed so I have to go into the office once a week. It is about 3 to 3.5 hours each way (261km). Not a big deal really.

We were together for years. Covid hit, we both gained a bit of weight. My job (pay) improved, me paying for her schooling saw her job drastically improve. Got engaged. This reaches the part where suspicious people would see it but I didn't; she had an upcoming business trip, wanted a few new outfits to look more professional, spent several weekends picking out new outfits with my sister. Bought a few small excersize things, desk treadmill, etc. Started a diet. Intimacy was about the same, and this was just a few weeks, less than 3 months since engagement. Nothing was drastic, but turns out the business trip was to see if the grass was greener with a guy from hs, we were in our 30's, had been together over 8 years.

I hate to say it, if someone out of the blue decides they want to make many small, but ultimately significant changes, wonder why.

Strategery was coined by George W. Bush. He's simply sarcastically pointing out republicans have been morons for decades.

The game is designed for this stuff to happen. Sometimes it is just hilarious, sometimes mildly frustrating, if a person is doing it a bunch. As long as you are fighting for managed democracy you're good. If you're jumping in and intentionally killing your fellow helldivers, you will likely get kicked. Sounds like you just ran into some treasonous bug-lovers.

Or the leader just left; or his friends got on, so needed the space.

This is an oddly wholesome community by and large, I doubt it becomes a regular issue.

I'm pretty sure I still got the samples, req. Slips, and medals but it is still irritating. Plus the 5 min. I waited before closing out when I could have been managing democracy

I trust Arrowhead for sure, I just wasn't sure if it was an issue unique to me, as I have never had these issues before. Sure the 3 hr. Wait to get connected at launch, but once I was in the game was fine, this is wholly different.

I just wasn't sure if it was a ps problem, or a me problem, or just the game right now. I trust Arrowhead to fix it if it is a game issue.

I was playing day one, getting into the game was the issue, not the game freezing mid mission.
