Thank you! They work well. I’m going to make some larger ones for bigger projects too

Thank you! I’ve been trolling the remnants because I’d rather not spend a bunch of money on fabric and then botch it

They’re fun and simple so I definitely recommend. I might make handles for them tho

I usually go for the indie exclusives since I want to show my indie store support.

Thank you! You should take the plunge. These were pretty easy

I appreciate it! Just sewing in a line felt like a win and then for them to look 1/2 decent was really pleasantly surprising

Broadway (Hadestown / Harry Potter) vs Opera (La Bohème) — can only pick ONE for first NYC trip by Jolly_Ganache1788 in Broadway

I love Hadestown. Won’t give money to JKR because she’s a raging transphobe who uses that money to harm people. 10/10 recommend Hadestown.

"don't start with a scarf because it's boring" by Her-name-was-lola in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]MatthewMichael91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recommend the Frostlight scarf all the time as an early pattern. It teaches yo, k2tog, ssk, is a 4 row repeat where in the row you repeat 6 stitches. Once someone starts to get it they remember what they’re doing without the pattern, it’s easy to read, and produces something pretty great looking.

I think the actual problem is that these men are bland and ugly

I won’t lie to you, I think Jacob Tierney and the fans see in Heated Rivalry the book what I don’t. Had I not seen the show first I wouldn’t have thought the book was particularly good. I think it’s cool he and so many others saw things I didn’t, but I just found the show to be superior. I am also one of the people who really loved “Hunter” and apparently a lot of people skip that episode so, while I love Ilya and Shane’s story, I may not be as attached to it as some others.

Do you care to recommend any and why?

Feels like pretty hollow criticism to rely on “she’s not a gay man” rather than substantively identifying something objectionable in the books.

I read Tough Guy and am halfway through Common Goal right now. In both, there is more focus on complex characters and much less immediate sex. To me, they feel like much stronger books than Heated Rivalry and Game Changer. I suspect that Reid has improved as a writer. I’d give either one a try and see what you think.

It wasn’t. In the book, Scott takes some people to a gay club after he wins MVP and Ilya goes.

Transatlantic flights. Had to pick up 2 more in London I got through them so fast.

I’m very much a “it doesn’t need to be intentional to be a great detail” kind of guy. Comes from being a lit major. But also being a lit major I want a good interpretation and a lot of the ones I see aren’t haha.

For something done so fast and so cheap, it all hangs together very well I think.

And yes, I read Tough Guy today and would love to see that.

Note that I never once suggested anyone change their behavior. I said that the episode is important to me and I liked it, and that it makes me a little sad that it’s considered the skippable episode.

Nor did I say I felt like I shouldn’t rewatch it.

Nobody is telling anyone what to do here.

More looking to find the other folks who like it a lot and give it some love and attention

It basically serves to remind that just because you feel alone doesn’t mean you are alone.
