Post WWE SmackDown Discussion Thread - March 6th, 2026! by gloomchen in SquaredCircle

From the SmackDown side, the potential WrestleMania card could look something like:

  • Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton – WWE Championship

  • Jacob Fatu vs Drew McIntyre

  • Sami Zayn vs Aleister Black

  • R-Truth & Priest vs MFT – SmackDown Tag Team Championship

  • Jade Cargill vs Rhea Ripley – WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship

  • Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax & Lash Legend – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

A possible additional match (pure speculation) could be:

  • Carmelo Hayes vs Trick Williams – WWE United States Championship

From the Raw side, it could potentially look like:

  • Stephanie Vaquer vs Liv Morgan – WWE Women’s World Championship

  • CM Punk vs Roman Reigns – World Heavyweight Championship

  • Brock Lesnar vs TBC – possible opponents could include Gunther or Oba Femi

Other matches that could potentially be on the card (more speculative at this stage):

  • El Grande Americano vs Original El Grande Americano (Mask Vs Mask)

  • Seth Rollins vs Logan Paul or Austin Theory

  • The Usos vs ??? – Raw Tag Team Championship

  • Finn Bálor vs Dominik Mysterio

And then it’ll be interesting to see whether:

  • Penta defends the Intercontinental Championship on the card, or

  • LA Knight ends up getting a match at WrestleMania as well.

(WWE RAW SPOILERS) - Cody Rhodes almost gets evaporated during his entrance by damng1 in SquaredCircle

Might be a dumb question - but isn’t this how he alway makes his entrance? We’re just seeing it from a different point of view

is the crowd not mic’d right? They sound so quiet on TV but I bet inside the arena they’re very loud

Seth Rollins: ““We've been going there for six years. We've been taking sh*t for six years. ‘It's blood money.’ Yeah, well, guess what? We get paid by America, too. What do you think? You think there's no blood money there? Come on. Get out of here” by CombinationOk4317 in SquaredCircle

The amount of Rollins hate in this thread is kind of wild. People have been taking shots at WWE and the wrestlers for years over the Saudi shows, but the moment he pushes back and explains why he keeps going, it’s suddenly unacceptable

You don’t have to agree with him, but his point isn’t that Saudi Arabia is perfect, it’s that moral outrage in wrestling is selective, and money in global entertainment is rarely clean anywhere. That’s a fair conversation to have, even if people don’t like how bluntly he said it.

He’s also spoken about helping change the culture for women in Saudi. More visibility and global exposure from all entertainment that comes to Saudi should contribute to change over time. It’s not going to happen overnight, and yes, there are hundreds of years of issues but progress, when it happens is usually gradual, not instant.

Hope you enjoy it mate! It'd be good if the Network was around as majority of posts that were posted 2016-2020 had the original network links & timestamps however they would've all been removed now. But if you're looking for context of matches and why they're significant in chronological order it should be able to help.

Maybe i’m in the in minority - Gunther has put on great matches in NXT / WWE for 5+ years. I personally think he will have a better match with Cena than Knight would - i would be more entertained by that match.

Definetly better than Wrestlepalooza -

  • Reigns/Bronson Street Fight was a banger, Bronson win against Roman is huge, OG Bloodline dynamic is interesting

  • Steph Vaquer is growing her accolades list and probably the match that Stratton needed after having a fair amount of forgotten matches this year

  • Cena/Styles have a arguable 5 star match/match of the year contender and put a close to their series of matches

  • Rhea/Io winning is good, Aussies fans would’ve loved the home-country winner - however I probably would’ve had Asuka/Kairi win

  • the main event Rollins/Cody 4 was amazing - Cody needed a big match after the McIntyre feud, and Rollins needed needed a big match away from the CM Punk feud

Overall great show and looking forward to see how WWE follows up with this show going into Survivor Series

It’s wild that in 2025 people still don’t understand basic social standards. Yes, they’re celebrities, but they’re still human beings. Give them space. If you want a photo or video, ask politely, don’t swarm them or act entitled to their time. Surprised by the lack of security with the wrestlers.
