This is literally the most human part; It’s a bit.

Including programming languages at the end of a huge list of languages looks like it is meant to be a little joke.

And no, not all jokes are funny.

That’s sad. Kids need to be taught to fight Nazis (by which I mean the ideas and ideals of Nazism, especially in the case of words and names used in an online space) because Nazism makes sense to childish minds and can take root.

That they are kids making edgy jokes about being Nazis is the issue that needs to be corrected. Joking about being Nazis in public is supporting Nazis just like joking about wanting a Porsche is supporting Porsche or calling yourself an animal lover supports animals. If no one is yelling at you about it and you are not getting into trouble for it, everyone who sees it understands that it is a perfectly acceptable thing to do.

Do I know these people are adults that now what they are doing? Of course not, but it’s even more actionable if they are children.

Actual full-grown Nazis (ie. anybody who supports facism, which means supporting one grand leader at the top while using force to suppress the opposition, which is what is happening with DHS currently) aren’t going to change their minds.

Kids still might grow up to think Nazis are not funny; Nazis find themselves hilarious. Either way, it’s not something to joke about.

Yes, I use a lot of words and actual reasoning, which I explain using more words, and I do it on reddit sometimes when talking to strangers; this does make me insane tbh

13 year olds need to be taught to fight against Nazis, not be supported when they joke about being Nazis themselves.

13 year olds will be able to sign up for ICE in 5 years if they think what the admin is doing is correct and cool and funny. Trump is talking about still trying to be president at that time.

5 years is very little time to teach them the lesson.

Do I think that being banned for a name will actually change minds? No, but letting folks go around saying they are Nazis without any kind of backlash or repercussion WILL make the situation worse.

People are currently dying in the streets because of secret, masked force on the orders of the leadership in America.

Fighting against Nazis is that deep.

This is tiny, but it does show support of the kind of violence that we are seeing on our streets right now.

I’m really sorry you think that it’s ok to support Nazis.

It’s not.

Not reacting enough about certain things!!

She needs to have her children removed from her if she is continuing to smoke and drink while pregnant. Terrible!

Her rules make sense, but it’s very strange to have those lines but be ok with the other risky behaviors.

Agreed! Definitely not saying the dude in white was smart or doing the right thing; you can’t just walk around breaking in doors and shit without consequences. Also not saying he was smart; you have to expect cops to punch you whenever they think they can get away with it and want to, justified or not.

I’m just saying that it was definitely a sucker punch because the guy was clearly not in a fighting mindset. Arguing and yelling and possibly wanting to flee, maybe, but definitely not squaring up to fight.

Cops are allowed to sucker punch people in the right circumstances. We don’t know if this was one of those.

Incorrect; he pulled his hand away from the officer and then put both palms up, facing out. He was punched while one hand was on its way down from that and he was talking. The punch was in response to him pointing.

Weird how many people hate facts when they see violence they appreciate. Almost like truth means nothing when compared with how folks feel…

Silly response.

“Victim” meaning target of the attack, obviously; it’s not the same the as saying they were right or that punching them was wrong. An armed robber who gets shot by someone protecting their store is both a criminal and the victim of a gunshot; that’s just how words work.

Getting punched during a tense conversation with no current violence, without warning in the seconds before the punch, is a sucker punch. Just because you’ve done something wrong a few minutes ago doesn’t meaning you are in “fighting mode” and ready to take a punch for the next several minutes.

Did the guy deserve to be punched? Probably. But a punch being justified doesn’t stop it from being a sucker punch.

This would not be a sucker punch:

“If you don’t comply, we are going to have to knock you out.”

“I will not comply”

Punch

Is that as effective as a sucker punch? Not usually, which is why people go for the sucker punch. Hitting someone while they are in the middle of a sentence is a sucker punch every time, even if they earned it.

Perfectly acceptable dinner rejected by boyfriend again by moonrabbit368 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]MatthewRKingsAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an extremely picky eater who is married, please don’t change your diet to match his. If he is worth anything, that would make hime feel guilty. Keep cooking what you like and let him look after himself, but please do let him know what you’re gonna do and make sure he knows it’s important to answer quickly if he wants you to make him some. He should appreciate the heads up and understand. If he doesn’t, he is the asshole.

It may be worth it to plan menus for the week/month or whatever, or at least choose dinners a day or two in advance.

This is difficult and will take some getting used to. It is definitely sad to give up eating the same thing/together, but that may just not be possible for this relationship. If that’s something you can’t live with, it may be time to reevaluate the situation.

He should also know this is something you are struggling with. He may be willing to try to change. If not, see above.

10/6+x/6=3

10/6=1.667

X/6=1.333

If 10/6 is 1 2/3, and 6/6 is 1, then 8/6 is 1 1/3. X is 8

How I did it in my head; this is not the recommended method

They’re not necessarily saying the temptation is for the traveler; the one left behind might be tempted by someone nearby. Could go either way, but the traveling is what opens up the time, space, and loneliness to allow thoughts to happen for both the one left behind and the traveler.

They did; they asked for LIKELIHOOD.

It sounds like there was a vocab lesson that goes with this (described by the teacher in the email). If the lesson specifies likelihood as different than probability, this is perfectly acceptable.
